I gotta get one for my ten year old son for Christmas or I'm a dead man. I thought I better start looking now. Anybody know where I can get one? I tried Gamestop and Toys R Us and they still don't have them in stock...

They aren't nearly as hard to get as they used to be. You shouldn't have a problem getting one by Christmas. Not sure the best way to get a line on one, but if you're near Manhattan, the Nintendo store in Rockefeller Center gets new stock in every day.

The Target near me gets them in stock pretty much every Sunday. If you live near a Target, you might want to check with them.

Target always has them. The also droped the price on the DS Lite. $119. With the new crimson/black color scheme being released this Wed.

mikeyboy is seriously a very smart man.... if you live anywhere in nyc, nintendo world or TRU times square are the best bets.
Fuck i got one day after launch when NO stores anywhere had them, except of course TRU times square and nintendo world

I got mine today - I went out early and got coffee and the paper. Saw that Best Buy had them and raced over to the one in Westbury. The ad said "minimum 10 per store" but they had 36 so I didn't need to get there so early but I had fun on line with a bunch of people. Thanks for all the advice. Now I can relax until Christmas!

Is that a New York thing that you say on line instead of in line?

Toys R Us has a buy 2 get 1 free on all video games for this week.

I just got one for my son'e birthday from the Toys R Us in Elizabeth, NJ (across from Newark Airport). They had like 15 of them in stock. I'd call first before making the trip, though. Also, keep in mind - only 3% sales tax in Elizabeth.

Come up to Orange County. Target's got them, and I've heard Walmart's got them but I can't verify that one. Get it now, as the closer to Christmas we get, the less and less likely that they'll be there.

Now that you mention it.... I guess we do.. hmmm interesting..

Circuit City has them in their ad for this week (10/21/2007) so if you get there when they open (if one is nearby) you should snag one pretty easily.
