A New York Jets season-ticket holder filed a class-action lawsuit Friday against the New England Patriots and coach Bill Belichick for "deceiving customers."
The lawsuit filed in U.S. District Court in Newark, N.J., by Carl Mayer of Princeton Township, N.J., stems from the Patriots being caught illegally videotaping signals from Jets coaches in New England's 38-14 season-opening win Sept. 9.
All gripes about pussiness aside, this guys makes a good point. the NFL is a product that people are buying, and cheating is essentially decepting the consumer. It opens a whole new can of worms involving sports and entertainment though.
This is inspires me to file lawsuits against Barry Bonds and all the other steroid users in baseball.

Cheating is a part of sports. In the old days it was spitballs and vaseline on football jersey. Now it's drugs and technology. Same shit, different era.
This is not a statement of what I think is right or wrong, but just my statement of what I see as reality. I hate Billy B as much if not more than the next guy (as a Jets fan).

Using this argument, does this mean I can sue every wrestling promoter from every show I ever went to who refused to admit it was worked? Can I syw I paid for the ticket based on the idea that what I was seeing was a fair atheltic contest?

I would love for someone to sue Bonds, it'd be hilarious. And if the product in MLB was so important, it would have been changed (Cap structure) soooo long ago. They just don't realize how good it could be, even without the New York / Boston bullshit every fucking year. It's like the NHL right now with all the division games....not a great rivalry, overkill/boring. Sure you yank and sox fans love it, but the rest of the country is bored as hell....not including all the yank and sox fans that jump on the bandwagon. Can I blame them anymore? Not really, they do both have three national networks, ESPN, ESPN2, and ESPN News.....along with NESN and YES/UPN or whatever the fuck it is now. Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz zzzz:thumbdown::wallbash::flush:
