Bride chooses funeral theme for wedding

A bride has chosen a funeral theme for her wedding.

Undertaker Margaret Cullen arrived in a hearse and had a coffin-shaped wedding cake.

She wore a gothic black dress to walk down the aisle at Strone Church in Dunoon Argyll.

Margaret, 42, wed former undertaker Carl Evans, 52.

She told the Daily Record: "Undertaking provided us with a great deal of satisfaction and that is why we chose to have a funeral theme.

"I am in and out of hearses every day and it seemed natural to use one for the wedding."

Margaret, who is originally from Wishaw in Lanarkshire, now lives in Surrey.

She said: "We met each other working in the funeral business and it is a job which we love.

"I have been a funeral director for 14 years and you become emotionally attached to it. It becomes part of your life.

"A lot of our guests are also connected with funerals and I think they appreciated the gesture we made."

Till death do us part, literally.

I wonder, did they have Paul Bearers and little Kane children as the ring bearers?

Man, I would love to see pictures of this cluster f*. Great original wedding idea though.

It's defiently an origional
idea. Not one that I would
consider for my wedding,
even if I was involved in the
funeral business.

Talk about bringing their two passions-their relationship and their jobs-together...but the concept is a little over the top. Instead of the bride throwing the bouquet, the bridesmaids had to settle for the casket wreath.

Through rain, sleet, or snow...don't worry you won't get your mail anyway...thats not in my job description!

I just hope it wasn't a "dead fuck" honeymoon.
