Howdy. What program did you try to install and how did you do it? Also is it legit? What program comes up instead?

Did you uninstall the program through it's own uninstall option in the Start menu or did you go to "Add or Remove Programs" in the control panel?
What program was it?

Same as above - and did you really expect an answer at 6:31am? Even Tech Geeks like us are usually asleep by then.

Both it was on IWIN.COM I uninstalled it both ways & it will not let me delete the file on the harddrive.

did you back up your hard drive before you loaded it? if so just restart your comp and system restore it.

try booting into safe mode if you want to delete a particular set of files. for more specific instructions, we really need to know exactly what program you installed. i'm sure there's a solution on google.

Nevermind, just went there. You REALLY have to be careful downloading free shit. I can only imagine what free games put on your hard drive.

I don't know if this will help, but when I used a pc I found that sometimes you had to go to the site you got the program from for uninstall directions.

you might want to download a registry cleaning and anti spyware tools to remove all of the instances of that particular application
