I was in Bridgewater Mall Friday after work and I saw that the Christmas decorations have begun to go up. This shot was taken in Bloomingdales.

Pretty awesome. The official end of summer had not even happened (it was this morning I think) and I was standing in front of a Christmas display.

I was in Price Club yesterday and they had all the decorations out and were playing Christmas music. Couldn't believe it.

Wow, when I worked retail in high school/early college, they would wait until after Halloween to start putting out the Christmas stuff. You bring up a good point BMoses, they've already made Christmas all about consuming, so what does it really matter what time of the year they do it?

I turned on WPIX this morning and was amazed to see the Yule Log already on.
I was just getting used to it, and finishing my egg nog when I realized it was just some factory fire in Brooklyn. Not the yule log at all.
