It's official, he loses his title and is banned for at least two years. Read the article, there are a lot weird issues with the lab but honestly I think he's guilty.

It's about time. I agree that he is most likely guilty. Hopefully the sport can move on and get to work cleaning itself up.

Too many inconsistencies for me to totally agree he was guilty. One not having anything to do with flawed data - why waste $2million to fight this when he could have gone quietly away and come back with a vengeance two years later.
The Landis incident is not the only hurdle the sport has to get over. A long, long way to go, but I think it is headed in the right direction.
At least the US will be putting up team Slipstream - highly anti-doping, but they will suck balls.

I don't think that Slipstream will suck balls. They have a great roster, including David Millar, Dave Zabriskie, Christian Vandevelde, Julian Dean, Maggie Backstedt, Tom Danielson, Danny Pate, and about a half dozen other decent domestic-based guys.
Yes, not doping will put them at somewhat of a disadvantage against some other cyclists, but these guys have put-in some notable performances. They just need to find someone to develop into a GC contender. My bet would be on Tom Danielson, although my heart belongs to Dave Zabriskie. Doping will go the way of the dinosaurs and Slipstream will benefit from being ahead of the curve. (I hope!)
By my count, they have at least 5 National Road Race or TT champions. It will be cool to see them sporting all those national champion jerseys on race day.

I guess "suck balls" was kind of harsh. I am just bitter over the Landis verdict - was hoping that although a reach, he would be cleared and ride for Slipstream and don those awesome argyle unis (although I think I heard or read that they are allowing fans to vote on a new design). They will be competitive, but in need of a true GC contender. Danielson has promise but has yet to really show anything; didn't he battle stomach issues or something this year? I guess Miller would be the best bet, but I was hoping for a bigger signing. Has Levi signed anywhere yet?

I think the real issue at question here is, does anybody care about Floyd Landis or Cycling in America?

Well if you read the thread you would see at least 2 of us do...

What are the advantages of this doping, are they that great? If so then it's just unfair to the cyclists who follow the rules and spend a good part of their lives preparing for and participating in these events...

Levi is rumored to be considering signing with Astana. Talk about a dirty team. I think Johan Brunyeel might be moving over there too.

I think Slipstream has one more spot on the roster to fill and are going after Jason McCartney from Discovery, recent winner of a stage of the Vuelta a Espana.
