Is there anyway to set up a 2nd account in windows XP Pro where it would not have access to any other hard drives besides the one that is the main drive with the OS on it.

i have little cousins who like to come over and play on the PC, but I do not want them to get into my hard drives with work files on them or other things.

Is there anyway to set up an account for them as a very restricted user, where they basically could just get online and open paint, but not see hard drives D, E, and F

If you set them as a "Limited" account, that restricts a lot of their access, but also if you right click on the hard drive, select Properties, and go to the Security tab, you should be able to set Folder Level Permissions.

There's also a Group Policy tool you might want to look into.

I don't have an XP box in front of my right now, but I think that's right

Make sure XP is on a NTFS formatted drive, and then set up the drive you want to keep from the kiddies with permissions.

XP pro right? XP home is a bit harder. The permissions are not down to file level on XP home.
