What is the greatest episode in TV history? Not the best show, or the best episode from the best show, what is the single best half hour or hour ever put on TV? The best show might not have the best episode, a mediocre show might have an episode that totally blows anything from much better shows out of the water. It can't come from a miniseries or some sort of TV movie, it has to be a regularly aired television show.

My favorite episode of all time has to come from Happy Days when Fonzie had to pretend to be dead cause The Candyman was after him. That episode was the first episode I can remember with 2 be continued.Laverne & Shirly also where in it.

well, a half hour takes all dramas out of the equation... right?
so then you would have to look at some of the best comedies, maybe not most popular but overall best...
I think ive laughed harder over a half hour period then anything else in a couple Arrested Development episodes...

Seinfeld: The Marine Biologist
George, pretending to be a marine biologist, saves a whale.
The Honeymooners: A Matter of Record
After calling his mother-in-law a "blabbermouth," Ralph tries to win Alice back with a recording.
Too many Sopranos episodes to pick.
If I had to pick a single Sopranos episode, I would pick "College" from Season 1. Just an outstanding piece of entertainment.

Battlestar Galactica, "The Hand of God". It's an incredible hour of TV, and so good that you don't need to know the backstory to understand what's going on.

Either Oscar Sleepwalks;
You don't mind a little ribbing, do ya Osc?
No. I love a good ribbing, Fel!
I don't like pits, pits, pits in my juice, juice, juice!
Or Felix Loses The Watch;
I thought it was a bunny with a carrot.

As far as Simpsons episodes go, two come to mind for me. "Homer Badman" were he is accused of sexually harassing a grad student and "Last Exit to Springfield" where Homer leads the a strike against Mr Burn to get Dental Plan. Every joke works and it's just plain hilarous. I miss those early years of excellence.

I tried watching it when it first came out and kinda watched it because I liked Peter Krause in Sports Night and know about lauren ambrose. Then I completely forgot about and caught it occasionally with James Cromwell.
Now, I'm giving it another try and totally enjoying it. Also, watching Dexter makes me apreciate Michael C. Hall in Six Feet Under. Also, Freddy Rodriguez is now a badass (Planet Terror).
good stuff.

It will be an awesome adventure.
And when you finish, one character is in a new show called Dirty, Sexy, Money and one is in the movie 3:10 to Yuma. Not to mention Dexter.

You are correct. Sorry, I've been drinking. The fact that my sentences are coherent is amazing enough.
