Today i accidentally launched Sherlock. it's next to iTunes on my dock and clicked it by accident. no problems, it launched normally. But, it occured to me that I hadded used the program in over 4 years. I used to use it regularly at one point and now, not at all. does anyone still use sherlock?

Ever since moving to OS X I haven't used Sherlock either.

To be honest, I liked it a lot better than Spotlight, but I guess the current program does the job well enough for me not to miss Sherlock.

Now you've piqued my curiosity, Furie. Guess I'll be trying it later on.

I didn't realize that there was any fucntionality to sherlock outside of just using it as a file search.

Now I use spotlight.

Now I use spotlight.

it's like a specialized search engine as well and file search.

sherlock was cool, but for me widgets replaced it for what i was doing.

now i don't use widgets, it just seems weird to use something to gather online data....when the browser i always have open does the same thing...

SPOTLIGHT is awesome, i think if people used it more they'd realize it.

setting up hot keys, and using it as a launcher is great, f1, type in what i want, hit enter, and bam, no need to take my hands off the keyboard.

What's Sherlock? I gather that it's pre OS X spotlight? What did it do that spotlight doesn't do?

I love Spotlight, because my file management sucks, and I know it sucks and I'm trying to change it, but it's hard to do.

I didn't even know Sherlock existed for OS X. I thought they'd phased it out with OS 9.
