Wireless Music Server / Extender

Anyone have any luck with anything to send music wirelessly from a computer to a receiver? I bought the cd3o (http://www.cd3o.com/) a while back. Its alright, but you cannot fast forward or rewind, and only one computer can use it.

I'm looking for something that both my computer and my wife's computer can send music to the receiver. I know Xbox works as a windows media extender, but does anyone else use anything else or any other type of extender?

I have a spare computer (lap top) so I mapped my music drive on it and I have that plugged into my stereo system. But it sounds like you are lookin for something else maybe.

i also hooked up an old PC to my stereo, and I control it with a remote control using winamp that is RF so i can use it anywhere in the apartment

Its a beautiful system, I can listen to music from my pc on my laptop outside, watch movies that are saved on my computer as well.

My original plan was to build a media pc to sit in my entertainment center. I was just seeing if there was an easier way to do it.
