I played in a tourney tonight for what ended up costing me 16.50 on UltimateBet, and I won a seat in the DE satelite for the Aruba Poker Classic. Right now their are 392 people in this tourney on sunday and they are giving away a minimum of 50 packages in this tourney that I won into.
The package is the $5000+500 buy in for the Aruba Poker Classic and $3000 for travel and accomodations.
I guess I had to post this here cause its late and no one is up to tell and I'm really stoked about this. I can't wait for Sunday.

I was just down there and playing at that casino where the tourney is. they are pushing it big down there. it looks like it is going to be a great time.

I was in the radisson casino in Cable Beach bahamas, is it similar to that one?

Unfortunately they dont have rooms there, but a couple of the resorts nearby have all inclusive packages still available so thats pretty nice that I can still get a place close by.

I have never been there.

in the high rise hotels in aruba, only 2 of them have poker rooms. and the tourney you are playing in is at the Holiday Inn, which is much bigger than the other poker room at the Radisson

it says on the website all events are at the radisson, but the holiday inn would be great cause if i have to stay, it looks like the better option to be up closer to there

Oh and I won my way through thousands of people in the Aruba free rolls (2) and finally qualified for the monthly end tourney which gave 50 seats just like Snoogan tourney. At start there were only 179 freeroller qualifiers as 21 couldn't make it. Unfortunately it was this past weekend and I was away from my solid cable connection at home and had to use my parents shitty DSL line. I fought with it for the whole tournament and never actually lost a hand. One hand for example came out AA3 and I was sitting on AK! I put in 2/3 of my starting stack and was called and lost my connection. When it came back I had lost the hand bc the other guy bet on the turn when the comp checked for me and then it folded. Fuck me! The guy who took it down even told me I had him dead to rights and so I would have more than doubled up due to blinds and early betting.

That left me with a 1/3 of my stack and I went into crazy survive mode and all in mentality bc at least then I got showdowns if I lost connections. I battled like this for almost an hour and it was painful. When I got knocked out there was only 89 people left, so I still almost fucking got my tourney seat in Aruba! Fuck me again!

Oh and Snoogs has at least another round of sat play to get there, but I hear he has a good coach so his chances aren't that bad. I'm even thinking of buying in just to make sure he doesn't get there! Ha! Just kidding, I'm still bitter I'm not going to Aruba due to DSL sucking big donkey dong!

the sunday DE gives 50 of thoe 8500 dollar packages. Right now there is 409 people in it going for those 50 spots. And every 8500 in the pool after that adds 1 package

from what I remember the holiday inns poker room was fairly small but that was like 3 years ago so they may have built it up since then. It actually is a nice hotel, especially for a holiday inn.

thats just shit luck. i think they lay out hands like that on purpose to get people out quick. i was in a tourney online had pocket kings sitting in BB, 3 people left after about 4 1/2 hours, dealer raises SB goes all in comes to me with KK, we all wound up allin, SB=QQ, BB=KK, Dealer and chipleader = AA. Still cashed nicely though. Take yourself to AC with about 5 hondo and sit at a 2-4 table. Easiest money i've ever made.
