i love it when a body part falls asleep.
like, when i give my son a bath, i am kneeling and sitting on my legs/feet.
i'll be in this position for about a half hour, and then i'll stand up really fast.
i love that burning feeling that i'll have in my legs as the blood flow resumes.
i hate this forum.
this has caused me to vocalize my secret obsessions, and the more i do the more i realize that im a friggin weirdo.

You are also a big fan of giving yourself "the stranger" aren't you. But hey, it doesn't make you a bad person.

Who doesnt Heart Mosquito Bites, Rain Storms and Body Parts falling asleep
I sleep on my arm under the pillow , so my arm is asleep every morning I wake up. I do like to compare how asleep my arm is by the lines on my arm and how red it is

reminds me of the story of the woman in Cleveland,..I think..that tried to commit suicide, she passed out, and was out for about three days and her body was laying in a way that when she was found and taken to the hosp. they had to amputate her arm and one of her legs because of the lack of flow to those limbs. talk about a shitty day.

I have a nerve disease that makes my left leg feel like its asleep if I sit down for more then a few minutes or if I stand for too log. Sometimes it travels to my arms. It's very annoying and painful.
That secret obsession is definately strange!

in hs i had one class i would always cross my left leg over my right knee for the whole class just so it would fall asleep. i don't know why, but i only did it in the one class. i enjoyed it being numb and then getting all pins-and-needles as i walked to the next class.

When I was young, I'd sleep with both arms crossed under my pillow. Sometimes, I'd wake up with both arms TOTALLY asleep. No feeling or movement at all. I'd have to swing my body to get my arm to plop down on my alarm clock, to turn it off. It was pretty cool.

I would do the same thing, put my legs or arms in odd positions while not paying attention just so they would fall asleep. I loved the feeling as the blood slowly come back, or get up at the end of class and almost fall down because my legs didn't work. I kept pushing it longer and longer and a couple times I freaked myself out because it was taking too long to get feeling back. Always did eventually. Good times.
Come to think of it I'm gonna try to cut the circulation to my neck right now. I never did that, should be fun.

PapaBear's post reminded me of when I'd lie down in bed and press my eyes into my fists. The colors! It was the best laser light show ever.
Is it any wonder I'm nearly blind today?

Aquabats, "I fell asleep on my arm."

I put my head down on my desk
To help me get through all this mess
I fell asleep and before I was done
I woke up in shock my whole arm was numb
I woke up in shock my whole arm was numb
I woke up in shock my whole arm was numb
I woke up in shock -
I fell asleep on my arm!
And now it's totally numb!
I fell asleep on my arm!
My shoulder's just a big limp stump!
I fell asleep on my arm!
My arm's like a big limp stump!
The bell rang, class dismissed
I'm sitting here a little bit dissed
I stepped to the door,
But I can't leave
I can't feel the doorknob, my arm's asleep
I can't feel the doorknob, my arm's asleep
Who's gonna carry my books?
I'm so embarrassed
What if I have to pee?
I can't bear it!
What if I have to pee?
I can't bear it!
I fell asleep on my arm!
And now it's totally numb!
I fell asleep on my arm!
My arm's like a big limp stump!
I fell asleep on my arm!
And now it's totally numb!
I fell asleep on my arm!
My arm's like a big limp stump!
Corporate America makes pencils
For the man with the left hand
They make pencils for the man with the right hand
But what about the man with the numb hand?
Four hundred grand to see The Rage
From back here I can't see the stage
It's time to start my own parade
So lift up your arm and wave
I fell asleep on my arm!
And now it's totally numb!
I fell asleep on my arm!
My shoulder's just a big limp stump!
I fell asleep on my arm!
My arm's like a big limp stump!
I feel no pain
In my arm
I feel no pain
In my arm
When's it gonna change?
It feels so strange
It's just one of those days
In my arm
I'm gonna slam it in the door
I'm gonna wiggle it around
'Cause I feel no pain
In my arm
It feels so strange
It's just one of those days:

i thought this thread was going to be bitching about the "falling" part of falling asleep
i uesto get extreme vertigo sometimes when i would be in a particular level of sleep and would jolt- sitting straight up in bed
i thought it was normal but it did happen all the time
weird now that i look back on it and wonder weather others went through this and doubt it

HA! I did, and still do, the same thing. It's the weirdest feeling, I want so badly to move them but just can't. Especially hard when i wake up because i have to pee.

That happens to me about 2-3 times a week. I woke up quarter after 6 because both my arms were numb, i usually wave them back and forth for a minute or two before passing back out.
It's a horrible feeling though.

I hate when I am asleep and my arm is in a funky position like by my head or on my chest, and I wake up and my arm is asleep and in a panic you don't realize its your hand on your head/chest and you throw it off of you and it just plunks back down cause its pure dead weight.
I am retarded.
