17 inches? Too big for a laptop to be practical. Besides, for gaming, nothing beats a water-cooled CPU Alienware PC.

I will give Dell it's due: No one can touch their laptops. Hands down the best Windows based portable systems ever.

I think they make laptops like that is so if you goto a lan party or something you dont have to bring your whole setup. At least thats what i would use it for if i played pc games all like that.

i'm seriously thinking about the 17" Macbook Pro with the 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 2GB memory, 160GB hard drive, 8x double-layer SuperDrive, NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT graphics and 256MB SDRAM.

I've been a PC person forever. This is a big jump. I know Bobo started a therad about this a little while ago, but can anyone tell me how they think this matches up to the Dell (or any other PC) as a laptop?

If you REALLY want to go nuts.., look at Dell's XPS M2010. It's a 20 inch screen with the fastest CPU , Blu Ray and 4 GB of memory.....but it'll set you back 4 grand...

I've got the 2.0Ghz 15.4 and I LOVE it.. plays WoW like a champ and I don't have to worry about fucking Windows any more. You'll be happy making the switch, I guarantee it. :)
