Just picked up the first trade paperback from this series and it is awesome! Its some old school kung fu ass kicking, plus it flips back and forth in time to other iron fists from the past. you learn a lot about the history of the iron fist and their other powers than Danny Rand never discovered. The first book ends with Danny being invited to a cosmic kung fu torunament, enter the dragon style.
I'm hoping some of the other kung fu Marvel guys show up like Shang Chi

My comic store guy loved Brubaker, so he recommended the book to me. Really good read.

Yeah, and Ray Park who played Darth Maul and Toad was slated to play Iron Fist. However, I haven't heard anything about it in a while. IMDB has it slated for 2008, but that is probably wishful thinking.

Yeah, Chris. I think he wanted to beat me for waiting until the second week it was out. He turned me on to Brubaker's Captain America too, which is very good.

I just picked up the hardcover collection of the first several issues. I liked it a lot. With this, Cap, and Daredevil, Brubaker has been doing some really good comics in the last couple years.
