Picking up people at the gym

I go to this gym in my
building. It is a nice size
but you see everyone there.
My building is mostly old
people so there is no one to
hit on or anything. Well, the
other day I saw this DROP DEAD
hot girl. I chatted to her
once (I saw her twice talked
to her the second time). It
went nicely. I don;t want to
ask her out and then she feels
uncomfy going to the gym
because I am just too nice for
that....

Most people at gyms ignore each other anyway so dont worry about asking her out and then feeling funny to work out...go for it. Look at it this way, she knows that you are not a slouch cause you do work out. I mean that is a quality that women like. A guy who 1) takes care of himself and 2) someone who dedicates time to something, which could translate that you would spend time to her and be dedicated...

No, no, no... I've had guys
"hit" on me at the gym. If I'm
not interested it TOTALLY
makes the gym an uncomfortable
experience!

My suggestion: start SLOW.
Chat it up a bit, offer to
"spot" her if she's lifting
weights. This way, you come
off like a nice guy instead of
some sort of "gym creep." (and
you may find out she's got a
6'4" 300lb boyfriend you
should stay clear of! But
hopefully not!!)

Gosh darnit that is what I
thought. She only does the
running machine so no
spotting. I have managed to
chat to her but I guess you
are right unless SHE makes it
clear she is interested I
won't ask
