So how do I add music beds to Audacity recordings? It's for a podcast I'm in the earliest stages of developing and I need music in between segments. Thanks buddays.

Not an expert, but I would think open the music on a different track and run it on a loop. Although, I've never noticed if Audacity can do loops.

I don't know audacity very well...I know people like it and I've used it to record some things...but I don't know if it functions as as multitracker - if it does then it shouldn't be too hard to figure out...but if it's more a straight "recorder" then you might need to find a different program.

I use Adobe Audition to lay everything out. But there are tons of progs out there and maybe some free ones...

If you can open multiple files with audacity, you should be able to select the full wav from the music file, copy it, and then paste it into the wav file of the podcast at the appropriate point. Then just save it.

BM is so smart. Also a friend of mine is going to let me "evaluate" Adobe Audition. I've heard good things.

CoolEdit (now Audition) is one of the classes I used to teach at CSB. :)
