Movie stars, singers, athletes, and people famous for unknown reasons all have no shame anymore. Their dirty dirty sex lives are fucking plastered on tv and in magazines. Whatever happened to keeping this stuff a secret? Do Paris Hilton, Kim Kardashian, and all the other girls promoting their sex tapes have no parents? If I made a sex tape with some Thai whore, I wouldn't let that shit out. My catholic family would shun me. And the drugs, c'mon hide the drug use. If you're a fuckup who can't control your drug use, you say you're going on vacation and secretly go somewhere and clean up. I'm not saying don't do drugs and don't have sex, but hide it all.

The drugs, sex tapes, bad behavior and marital infidelities have ALWAYS been there - and not just in celebrity circles, but in ALL circles of society.

That's not the problem - it's the tabloids and tabloid television and even mainstream news that reports this as if it's important for us to know. And granted, there is a large population that eats it up. And as long as they're buying, it will always be available.

Also technology allows us these days to have a nip slip posted all over the world 10 minutes after it happened.

So why blame the celebrites? It's the person you see on the train reading OK, People or US that is to blame.

It seems kind of ass-backwards to blame the celebs for not keeping things hidden when you can pick up practically any biography or history from classic Hollywood over the last 80 years or so and be bo bared with tawdry tales of everything from orgies to rape to kidnapping to murder. The major difference between then and now is how expansive and invasive the media is. Nothing is hidden these days.
