They played a quick commercial (or whatever its called in the radio biz) on Opie and Anthony's FM show this morning. I thought it might have been just a beautiful dream but unless we're all hallucinating together it seems like this new hot chica running things at K-Rock might know genius when she hears it! well... the guy I spoke to in programming said that they were back on STARTING tomorrow from 3-7.

and I made such a pretty first post to start my thread.... why not keep it on top, Mikey?

I can't put it on top. When you merge threads, the oldest is first.

The thing is that all information that's coming in other than Friday's phone call is pointing to a one time takeover of the shift. People answering phones sometimes don't have all of the info, and we don't know who Friday's source is yet, so it's hard to take it as official yet. If it turns out that Friday is correct, I shall separate the threads again.

The takeover gimmick was mainly reserved for rock bands with an album to promote... other DJ's haven't actually taken over, like Sluggo or someone coming in to do a tryout shift?

Will it be talk or music? Lots of questions to ask.

Seriously dude, you are missing a lot. Just buy a cheap unit like a Roady 2 or Roady XT and listen now. You should be able to get completely outfitted with the unit, home kit, and car kit for something like $40-50.

By the time the merger goes through (if it goes through), you can buy better equipment that is less expensive.

I here you, but Im a RnF and Stern fan and even like Bubba so I want to have them both. I had sirius for awhile but cancelled and will buy when they join.

P.S. Dont hate me because I like Stern. No need I know how some of you feel about him. I feel the same way about OnA. But we all agree on RnF so thats all that matters.

Ron & Fez Spin Tunes On K-Rock - 8/14 - From FMQB: Rocker WXRK (92.3 FM) is giving XM Satellite Radio (and former Free-FMers) Ron and Fez "Hostile Takeover" afternoon music duties on Tuesday. The station has typical used musicians such as Korn, Smashing Pumpkins, Silverchair and others for the "Hostile Takeover" slot. Currently this is a one-time shot for R&F, who are still under contract with CBS Radio.....
