I got in an arguement with a friend of mine, sorta, at dinner the other day. He ordered a lobster and asked me to order extra crab legs because he only likes the tail of a lobster, so he was gonna give me the claws and eat some crab legs. Fine, but what? THE CLAW IS ALL DOMINATING. So soft and full of awesomeness, and tails, though still good, are the worst part. Anyway, I couldnt convince him, so I wanna see if this awful thought is common.

i like tuna froma can. Never liked it fresh, and mussels are probably my favorite thing to have, especially fra diavolo. Although thats cause i can afford that, and crabs and shit are expensive.

I've always wondered about the first person that ever tried to eat lobster or crab. I know, humans will eat anything, but could you imagine seeing one and thinking it would taste good?

that said, I love all shellfish.

Put me down for the tail. I think it's meatier and the taste is more consistant from lobster to lobster. To me it seems like the claws can be touch and go. Sure you might get a perfect claw, but just as often it can be rubbery, or really salty, or have that disgusting white shmootz all over it. The worst is when you pay for a nice lobster and you get one with the retarded cripled claw that's really skinny and doesn't have hardly any meat in it.

i didnt like seafood up until three years ago. this is exactly how i started out. Crab legs with some dipping butter. it was out of this world. Little by little i tried stuff like stuffed crabs, crab cakes, lobster ravioli. stuff like that. now i am a full blow seafood lover.

i recommend anyone trying seafood like this to start.

I think tail is the best. As for your friend he's a waster of lobster. I tear every inch of that thing apart. No way would I just eat the tail and discard the rest. He must be rich and stupid.

I have a side question. This place by my house has a huge lobster for sale that they have given a name to. I look at the thing and think. "I can't eat something that has a name ". Can you eat a lobster if you know its name?

Coincidentally, I was in Boston last weekend and enjoyed a 3 pound lobster and ate every piece of meat I could find in that thing. Fucking delicious. While it's a toss-up between the tail and the claws for me (different tastes, both excellent), I found that the underrated portion is that jointy area just below the claw. There a delicious little piece of meat in there.

Crabs have it too. My friend mentioned it just last weekend. We were eating crabs at the time, not just randomly discussing pieces of joint meat.

Had to vote "tail" since it's all I've ever had. I loved it but, being a longtime Chesapeake dweller, most of my seafood experiences have to do with Blue Crabs.

Im right there with you. All shell fish is good. I can never get enough of crab legs, shrimp or lobster tails. Not only do they taste incredible they are very low in fat, calories and great source of protein. The only thing is they are the highest source of Cholesterol (I believe of all foods) Im lucky never had a Cholesterol problem so I eat it as often as possible.

As for clams, mussels, oysters etc. I love them as well just not as much.

As for regular fish Talipia is pretty good. But I usually dont order "regular" fish.
