Just wondering, when the R&F and O&A shows' replay, why isn't the P.A.D. data the same as when it was live? If the show is recorded and stored and what not, why isn't the P.A.D. data stored as well? It would make it a hell of a lot easier when/if I have to record the replays and listen later and try to follow.

It seems they are 2 completely different systems and I would imagine the PAD Data isn't part of the recording process. For example, I have seen instances on the music channels where the song doesn't match the PAD Data, even though it is a familiar song and I have seen it displayed correctly before. This leads me to believe the systems are linked, but ultimately independent.
Of course this is all just speculation. Anybody else have any REAL idea about what's up?

I have an Inno and a Myfi, the Myfi records the replays with pad data flawlessly, the Inno doesn't. Go figure.
(above you see the rantings of a short attention span having, self centered, reads like he listens to his wife talk, asshole, who has a bad tendency to drink mass quantantys of bad wine from a box before posting his pickled thoughts on the world wide web....he is sorry)

I don't think it's about personal recording units, but why the PAD Data isn't the same during XM replays of the show (Midnight and Weekends).

oooh, well shit! I should really pay attention. I guess I've been so perplexed by the issue I raised that my brain hijacked this thread......I withdraw my previous ignorant comment.

I use the XM widget and the pad data is never updated. It never even says Ron & Fez when they're live, only when it's a replay.
I also use the Sirius widget and that is always updated on the channels I listen to, even the talk channels.

i've always wondered this. even if they had to program it in, how hard would it be? have an intern spend 20-30 minutes each day and get it synced.

That's what I was thinking as well. I thought it was programed when it was recorded during the live show anyway. Everything is computerized anyway, why can't they write a program to stamp the P.A.D. data when it is being recorded? Unlike O&A , R&F replays don't have to be shrunk down. O&A have to shrink their's down to 4 1/2 hours.

It's weird. I enjoy the show so much more when the PAD data is updated and shows what is going on. It's just psychological. Maybe because I know the show is going on as I'm listening, and not earlier in the day. Who knows.
