ugh
2 fuggin hours last nite.
i still cannot get my dlink wbr-2310 wireless router to play nice with my motorola vonage adapter.

last nite i was going:
cable modem to dlink to computer= got it to work
cable modem to vonage to computer= always worked
cable modem to dlink to vonage to computer= no good.

anybody have any suggestions?
i think i am going to do this:
cable to vonage to computer= this works, and i'll leave it alone.
i will run vonage(lan 2 port) to the dlink to laptop (hardwired) to set up the wireless network.

does this sound right?

i don't have any experience with this, but it seems like your topology is wrong. shouldn't the vonage adapter be a device on the network, just like the computer?

modem->router (on WAN port)
pc -> router (LAN port)
phone->vonage -> router (LAN port)

if you give some model numbers, i can look up the manuals.

I thought the same thing but I've never known anyone with VOIP so I didn't reply.

Topology, haven't heard that term in like 10 years. Since TCP/IP completely took over anyway.

called dlink tech support last nite.
a thick-accented young feller named peter (i was like peter? yeah right) got me up n running.

modem(lan) to dlink (wan), dlink (lan) to vonage (wan), vonage (lan) to pc.

what f'd me up is that when i wired everything up, lan port 1 is on the far left, usually on everything else where lan port 4 is.

thats why i was getting no signal.

thanks anyways guys.
