Any word on a hang spot after Unmasked? Wouldn't mind a return of "Friday Night Lights" (since I never made them when they were here in VA). Chinatown/ Verizon Center is only a couple of blocks south of the studio, nice area with tons of bars and restaurants.

Hope the boys are in the mood to reconnect with some of us down here!

Yeah, the Wendy's across the street is the only fuckin' fast food joint i've ever seen where they buzz ya in like it's a jewelrty store, HA HA HA!!! Lotsa hookers around there too, fugly fugly hookers!!! But I've never hadda problem there at all, in terms of crime, that is, don't be a chicken... HA HA HA.

The area is kind of bad but XM is at least good about having a cop on duty outside the XM building so it should not be a big issue. Now since they are building the new ATF building around their to the neighborhood is slowly getting slightly better.

Chinatown - now Gallery PLace - is a good choice...open late, tones of bars, a hooters, good times....it's also open early for people around on Friday.

It's connected to all the major metros - red, yellow, green, and close to blue and orange.

Basically, we can get there from XM on the Red line, and then leave on any line

There's a bunch of them around there, I think. The only one I ever went to was Coyote Ugly. The main bar is as crazy stupid as you'd expect, but they have an upstairs bar with pool tables and less craziness. I'm not really the one to ask, though. I've only been there once in my adult life.

Yeah, I don't hang around Chinatown too much. The only bar I have been to down there is RFD. It has a great selection of beers, but is kind of a subdued atmosphere. I don't remember pool tables, juke box, or anything like that. Just a lot of beers some tables and decent food.

I'll start asking around because that general area might be the best bet for getting the most people to hang out.

Fados - Irish Pub chain that is usually pretty happening
RFD - as mentioned above, great beer selection, more reserved
Clydes - Chain - but a great two bar set up on the main floor
LUcky Strike Lanes - if you are into high priced bowling along with high priced beers
District Chop House - very similiar to RFD, good beers, good food, more subdued

Hello all, as a Metro Transit Police officer I can tell you all in fact that the area around XM is a very safe area now. I myself live in Frederick, and will be coming down with my brother for the live show. Anyone in Maryland need a ride to the live show on friday? Great links! I found the "DC Happy Hours" one to be the most up-to-date, and easy to navigate. Thanks for the tip! I live about 40 minutes from the city, but these come in handy when I want to come in and meet up with friends!
