Any fans of this pop genre, which was popular in the 60's and 70's? Remember:
"Yummy Yummy Yummy" by The Ohio Express
"123 Red Light", by The 1910 Fruitgum Company
"Snoopy vs The Red Baron", by The Royal Guardsmen
any others?

Does not being able to resist tapping my foot to "Dancing Queen" make me a fag?

Not so much for the 60s, but I was a HUGE Shaun Cassidy fan. My best friend was a big Andy Gibb fan. I hated Lief Garrett (probably just one of the many reasons he turned to smack! ;-))

I remember my grammar school collecting M&M wrappers in a contest to have a free "Bo Donaldson and The Heywoods" concert at our school..we lost. BTW, their hit was "Billy Don't Be a Hero".;)

The Archies with Sugar, Sugar. I don't know if this is considered bubble gum music, but because of the uniforms they wore, could they fall into the catagory? Paul Revere and the Raiders, or Gary Puckett and the Union Gap.

The thing that comes to mind the most about "Bubble Gum"music isn't which song was my favorite,it was the fact that if you turned your transistor radio off and back on 10 minutes later, you could hear the same song again on the same station.

What a Wonderful World!

"Heartbeat, It's a Love Beat" by the DeFranco Family.

Damn, there's a group deserving of a "Behind the Music" episode.
