Has anyone ever had a problem with their McAfee virus protection program?
I have Vista and my McAfee firewall has shut down my ability to view websites on my Internet Explorer 7. Wierd thing is, I can sign into all my chat programs such as Yahoo, MyspaceIM and AIM....but it won't let me into IE 7 I go into my "msconfig" file and configure it to disable the firewall from even opening and after doing so, all is well. My IE 7 works great. I turn my McAfee firewall back on and poof...it all goes back to crap.
I'm pretty sure something is corrupt in my McAfee, but is their any solutions that anyone on this board may know that might have experienced this?

Mcafee sucks!
Trend micro rules.
Well this is what we implemented at work. We have only had one bad outbreak in 2 years.

I just use my Computer for the Internet
My Twin Bro had this Happen, and there is Something in Mcafee where you can Backdate your computers settings Do it for 2 months a ago

Drop Mcafee....I use to use it and it was a pain. I did not like all the programs running in the background with Mcafee. I changed to Avast! Seams pretty good and it is fee to use and free to update.
Good Luck.

Yeah McAfee sucks. I had to download it last year to use the internet in my dorm and it fucked up my laptop and the campus computer people couldn't figure out what was wrong. Turns out I had to turn off some program that came with my laptop. Maybe it's something like that. Search the internet for people who had the same problem.

another problem I've ran into is that I cannot find where to uninstall McAfreaky.....I went to the folder itself...to my control panel....unless I just went blind and/or dumb, (probably both) I didn't see it.....I'll have to check it out again or the Geek Squad is gonna have a computer dumped into their laps.....I've only had this computer for a month and now this.
all i really use it for is looking online and racing online.....nothing really big.
