The new service from T-Mobile that gives you your regular cell and wifi calling all on one phone?

I have seen the commercial for this a lot lately. I have T-Mobile and use my phone a lot. For $9.99 more a month it seems like I can get free unlimited calling whenever Im near a wireless router (I think)? The cool thing is that you only need one phone and it switches from cell to wifi.

If anyone has tried it or understands it and can explain it to us un tech savy people please help us out.

What I really want to know is can I use my existing router or do I have to use a t-mobile router?

Can it be used when Im within any router or "T-mobile hotspots" only?

T-Mobile only has 2 phones on their site for this service, can I buy any wifi cellular phone? (if you know of other wifi cell phones link it please)

If anyone can think of some other helpful questions post them. Any information about this would be great!

Here is a link for those of you interested.

it looks like this will work for any wireless network you have access to, depending on firewalls. i don't know how many access points you can configure for automatic connection (WEP/WPA keys), but it looks like this doesn't suck.

I have been scoping it out too, and Zen is right - any wireless router you have access to will become a "Hot Spot."

Unfortunately, I don't have one either. I am looking into it though since I will be moving soon and plan to radically change my phone service options. Currently running a cell phone and Comcast Cable phone service (BTW - IMO Comcast phone service sucks).

I just read this online about the T-Mobile wifi at home.

it was pretty good. Sounds like it works pretty good and should work better as more phones and the kinks get worked out. I def want to order it soon. The article said the price of $9.99 a month is only a promotion and the price will be going up to $19.99 and $29.99. For that price I would just get a skype wifi phone for $100 a year and it will do the same thing but I will have 2 phones instead of 1.
