I got one removed today, it was kinda cool hearing the tooth snap and shit. But now I'm sitting here spitting blood and using an ice pack. Anybody know what a good recovery time is?

Reilly is correct... I had all four out at the same time and my mom set me up with ice packs on both sides of my face and some seriously potent painkillers.

It was hell for the first day but by day two I was already craving chinese food (you know me...lol)

Hang in there and Ice your face for about 15 minutes at a time..... and then think of my bewbies. You will be better in no time! wheeeee

I had all 4 pulled a few months ago , they put me under so it went real fast. After like 4 days i felt back to normal.

I had all four taken out at the same time. It wasn't really that bad, just make sure nothing solid hits your jaw where the tooth used to be, and sneezing really hurt too for some reason. It really made a difference when they took out the stitches.

i had to have mind surgically removed because they were compacted. the first 48 hours sucked because of the swelling and drooling blood.

um, don't drink anything with citrus in it (OJ, most fruit jucies). and don't suck anything through a straw and don't smoke. you'll get dry socket, which sucks more than the surgery/removal.

Way to make my four wisdom teeth pulled at once look like shit. Fallon should be ashamed feeling pain when theres real men getting 17 pulled. You really shouldn't have bit down on that hook though.

Careful with rinsing too much andsmoking as someone above said a dry socket is worse then the extraction.

Wow. My dog had to have 16 pulled and you beat him with less teeth to start! Did you have them replaced with false teeth and if so how much did that freaking cost!? If you don't mind me asking.

Has anyone else ever had a lower wisdom tooth taken out and had complications afterwards? 1 week after the surgery the left half of my tongue is still plagued with numb/tingling/burning sensations. I learn that this is somewhat common and has to do with damage to the lingual nerve. I went back to the oral surgeon and he said it happens and can go away in days, weeks, months, or never. Has anyone here gone through a similar experience? This constant annoyance of having a half tard tongue is uncomfortable and old.

i had my remaining 3 taken out on tuesday & i'm just starting to be able to smile & open my mouth today. i didn't have the complication that you are talking about, but i think i have a dry socket, which is when the clot gets dislodged & then they say you are stuck with the pain for like 10 days. i'm more concerned with the fact that i have disolvable stitches, but i can feel them poking me a bit, so i'm wondering when that is going to go away.

I had a few taken out in the past and I didnt have my problem or yours. Currently I also have the disolvable stiches. I am almost exactly a week out and the the stiches are still there. I can taste the plastic and I'm pretty sure that means they are in the process of disolving. Fuck Teeth.
