Beowulf comes out November 16th.

Here is the trailer. (http://www.apple.com/trailers/paramount/beowulf/)

Watching it... looks cool.. but... is it... live? animated? Animated. But they animated the actors. Hmmm.

i think that it looks pretty sweet, ill definitely check it out. i haven't read beowulf in a long time, i will probably pick it up and read it again as a refresher. i read that neil gaiman wrote the screenplay (sandman graphic novels) so im sure it will be pretty good.

I just wanted to be the 1st to say "The book was better" because everyone says that no matter if it's true or not.

Looks cool. Angelina is walking around nude so that can only be a plus.

Not sure how to feel about this. It's pretty obvious that it's going to be horrible, like 95% of the shite that comes out of Hollywood. Not that I'm attached to the book or anything, it was pretty boring. The Grendel book was more entertaining.

I'm sure my 12th Grade English teacher is turning over in his grave/bed. He made us memorize the first 12 lines in olde English. It's been 10 years, and I can't forget it, try as I may.

Maybe I'll kick back with some mead and give it a watch.

I'm extremely fond of this epic. Love it as its full of action and violence. Not to mention I have a huge interest in all the old British lit stuff. Beowulf is definitely one of my favorites and this movie looks good. Hope its better than 13th Warrior.

If you're into Beowulf and want a different angle to check the story out - pick up a copy of Crichton's Eaters of the Dead. Same story told from a different point of view. It's pretty good.

Zemeckis should do a good job with the story.....the problem is will the motion capture technique look better than it did with Polar Express......and will it do justice to this classic story

When I first saw the trailer I could not believe that this was all CGI, it took me a few times.

Judging from the trailer, I think this will suffer from The Uncanny Valley (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Uncanny_Valley).
