Updated my myspace and tried to fill it up with some of the best movie scenes i could think of. There are about 20 embedded youtube objects on there. Everything runs perfectly fine and smoothly on firefox, internet explorer gets completely overloaded and slow.
IE sucks moose dick, who the hell could still be using it after trying firefox?

I don't see why anyone would use IE at all. Only time I need to use IE is when stupid microsoft tells me I need to , in order to get something from them.

My IE7 works fine at home. I have not had a single problem with it.
I love the tabs in that more than in Firefox. Just works easier for me.
In work though I use Firefox because IE6 (7 not approved yet) crashes on a lot of sites for some reason. Its something with being at work and using IE that doesnt work right. Firefox works fine though.

Browser is the program you open to view websites. The one you type www.ronfez.net in to get here. Click help, then about up top to see what you have, probably ie. Now you have to explain to me the fire breathing dragon part.

Right now I'm using firefox until the release version of Safari 3 comes out.
I've used Safari, Opera, Firefox, Camino, Seamonkey, Netscape 9 beta, Shiira, Sunrise, and Flock. I think for Macintosh the best 3 are Firefox, Seamonkey and Safari. If GVac was here we could have a spirited debate on why I didnt include Camino as best browser...

i recently switched to firefox when rf.net was having the problems with Flash Ads. Firefox has the nice blocking feature. I like it so far. The only issue I have had with it so far is one bittorrent site i use, but other than that I like it. I never thought I would switch, but it seems good so far.
I also enjoyed the tab browsing in IE better than firefox, but firefox loads pages much quicker.

i've been using firefox and convincing everyone i know to make the switch for a few years now. regarding the problem with slowdown, blame adobe first. flash applets hog the cpu. i keep them to a minimum, especially when i'm running on battery power

I like the IE7 tab browsing too. I hope the next version of firefox has the new tab "stubs" like IE7 does. Firefox has the built in spell check, which is nice. And, I find it much easier to find and install plug-ins for firefox.

Didn't load correctly, or did it actually load things the way they're supposed to? As someone that does web develop for a job, I can tell you I dread pulling up things I've worked on in IE, because its almost certain that what ever I added/changed is either going to be fucked up, or not even show up at all. MS invents their own standards, and then uses Windows to shove them down everybody's throats. I haven't even touch on stability and security in IE.

i think also because it is the default, and most people do not want to go out of there way to download something else that basically does the same shit as what is already on their computer

If you use multiple computers and have a thumb drive, portable Firefox is awesome. It keeps all your shit anonymous or at least on your thumb drive. I used to use it at work because all the computers were monitored and so I just installed Firefox at home.

Use whatever makes your mouse squeal in delight, I say. But don't think everyone will look down on you for your browser choice, I mean, That's just absurd! To think that anyone would think any less of you, merely because you like Internet Exploder- er- Explorer, smacks of low self-esteem issues. Maybe you need therapy or perhaps you are just incompetent using computers. I mean uhm...

I'm just so used to the extensions in Firefox, (Gmail manager, Adblock, Bugmenot, Web Developer Toolbar, ForecastFox) I wouldn't want to go back to IE.
No one's acting superior or bragging about using Firefox - it's FREE software.

I use Firefox. I started using Firefox because the pages loaded faster and when the browser crashed, it didn't take down the whole Windows. Plus I liked many of the innovations firefox introduced, like Extensions and tabbed browsing. Nothing makes development easier than the Web Developer extension.

Ive used firefox for years and when I did friends the favor of reinstalling their entire computer because of spyware problems I installed firefox made it default, told them to use it only, get used to it, or else I won't fix it again. ActiveX is the root of all spyware problems.
After that no more "buddy internet doesn't work anymore" calls. It's porn/lyric site friendly even still to this day.
It's better for the advanced and beginner user.
Plus I don't think there's such a thing as being "cool" in terms of any computer usage.

After Microsoft won the browser war, they pretty much dissolved their Internet Explorer development group. Remember when you couldn't go anywhere on the web without getting spyware? No one was working on that "little" problem.
After Firefox started picking up marketshare with their tabs, extensions, and lack of spyware problems, MS got the band back together and gave us IE7.
