I got back from Maine today (5 hour trip!) from camping and whitewater rafting at Northern Outdoors (http://www.northernoutdoors.com). It was pretty badass, did some level 5 rapids (I was told the highest is 6). We did a 12 foot drop four times and on the final one our raft flipped over on top of us all. It was sick.

My body is aching and I got sunburn on my knees, but it was worth it. Anybody else dig whitewater rafting?

We did rafting down the Delaware for my friends batchelor party. It's hard to do the rapids without tipping the cooler.
Good Times!

We weren't allowed alcohol on the raft. We would have lost it pretty quick anyway. My friend lost her new waterproof digital camera when we flipped, the strap broke off.

Where'd you go, from Kitattinny. I used to work there. The Delaware is such a puss-ass river...for the hardcores. But it's a fucking blast to go down with a cooler and a bag. My #1 relaxing vacation spot. Take a kayak from Barryville, NY to River Beach, PA with some intoxicants and you will understand and accept your existence.

went down the delaware on a canoe which was probably level -1000... but we pretty much tore ass the whole way which was a decent upper-body workout, especially since i was in front

whitewater rafting - i'd do it if someone paid me to do it but driving in the tri-state area is risky and adventurous enough for me

Yeah, you really need some good people up front. Their was a girl in front of me for most of the day and she was just slow as shit. When I got up front I hauled ass.

Dude, it was fun shit. That was my first time doing it yesterday, I want to go again.
