Is anyone reading this? I read the first two and I'm sorry but its not really impressing me. Maybe cause I havent read Hulk in a while. Heres the basic feel of the first two issues. Hulk is pissed, heros fight him, they have him on the ropes, he rallies and beats the fuck out of them. I'll continue reading but Civil War and now this is showing meat major story lines are a little overrated.

I thought the X-Men tie in's so far were good. Planet Hulk was really good imo. The rest has been mediocre. The time line seems messed up though

Planet Hulk was awesome. So far I am digging WWH, although I am not buying any of the unnecessary tie-ins. I'm just reading the miniseries and it's pretty good if you like to see Hulk Smash.

yea, some of the tie-ins are pretty lame. Like the Irredeemable Ant-man. I could give two shits about him. Same with Heroes for Hire. I told myself that I would pick up all of the main issues and the tie-ins and now i'm kinda ehh about it. I would say it's worth getting the WWH issues and the Incredible Hulk and bypass the other stuff

The Xmen issues have been the best...the actual WWH main book is decent... Havent touched the othe tie ins

I'm enjoying it so far, but not as much as Civil War. The main thing is I haven't ready Hulk since I was a kid so it's kind of a cool new experience. The Hulk/Conan the Barbarian/Banner thing is a little strange, but i'm getting used to it. The timeline does seem a little off as I finish one book and he's fighting Iron Man, next thing I know he's on the west coast fighting the X-Men with no explanation in between and no end of either battle shown anywhere. I did say before that I wasn't going to buy all teh WWHulk tie-ins, etc. but I don't know if I can exercise that level of restraint anymore. I got in trouble this week when a shipment of 51 comics showed up that I forgot to warn my wife about the billing :)
Growing up sucks...

Are ya talking about that story arc "Endangered Species" or just the regular stuff going on with X-Men?

I just caught up and the weirdest part of WWH is that the Hulk seems to be everywhere fighting everyone all at once with no real timeline. I might be missing something, but as far as I can tell he's in mid battle with X-Men and also running around getting into shit with people in NYC all at the same time. Civil War seemed to have a more fluid timeline.

Who is this Hulk you speak of? He would make an Incredible addition to my Corps if he wasn't Green.

I've ignored all WWH tie-in's except for Incredible Hulk, so I'm of no help.
So far, I'm not loving it.

Not as good. It's been real reptitive so far.
Hulk arrives and takes on Iron Man saying you killed my wife and my world, as friends try to appeal to him.
Hulk takes on FF and other Avengers saying you killed my wife and my world, as friends try to appeal to him..
Hulk takes on military, people keep saying Hulk's not a killer, but he may be and he sets up an arena for the heroes to fight in, saying you killed my wife and my world, as friends try to appeal to him..

I've kinda lost interest in WWH. Probably that guy Sentry (who I have never heard of) will buy the Hulk some flowers and says he's sorry for the whole snafu. Hulk hugs him and smokes a cigar that stole from Ronnie B. THE END.

Sentry was (re)introduced in New Avengers and has mainly stayed there.

why does Hulk love him so? I didn't like WWH until the end of #3. This new development might have me liking the story.

from what's going on so far in WWH, seems Sentry's the only one to challenge him.
Also, WWH #4 looks like Hulk is hosting his own gladiatorial events at MSG.

In the Sentry origin story, it was established that Sentry was probably the best friend of not only Banner, but the Hulk persona. He also allegedly has some type of psychic powers that calm the Hulk's anger/fury. They've also stated that Sentry may be the most powerful hero on Earth.

I recommend reading the Incredible Hulk issue that came out last week as part of this. In it, Amadeua Choi, the teenager who is the 7th smartest person in the world, and is loyal to the Hulk, explains to the Hulk, and the fans, how, in all of his rampages, he hasn't killed anyone.
For those of you who want a butchered summary of why:
Choi says that Banner's mathematical mind operates similar to Choi, and even in Hulk form, subconsciously calculates odds, degrees, consequences, etc. and also subconsciously directs the Hulk's strikes so that damage is done, but no one gets killed. Farfetched, but interesting.

Which goes against the entire plot for the Bruce Jones storyline that started amazing and went nowhere.

Yes, but I think that they said that that storyline was not in the main Marvel universe.

I think they say that because it sucked and it pretty much ended because Bruce Jones went DC exclusive.

In retrospect, I may be talking about the wrong thing. Are you referring to the mini where they showed Samson after the Hulk, and they showed Banner trying to kill himself because the Hulk was responsible for people dying or a story within the regular title?

3 years of the Hulk main title. Hulk knocks over a building and crushes/kills a little girl. Banner then goes on the run. By the time I stopped reading they were implying that it may have not been a real child and finding the child that allegedly died could have cleared Banner's name.

I think I remember that now. If I remember right, they determined that he did not kill that child.
The non-continuity thing I was referring to was something else. A mini-series (called Banner, maybe?) that showed that the Hulk did kill people, an unethical Samson was after him, and Banner was trying to kill himself to stop the Hulk.
EDIT: This (http://www.thefourthrail.com/reviews/snapjudgments/102901/startlingstoriesbanner4.shtml) is the story I'm thinking of.

Yeah, bought Banner off a clearance rack at one point. I guess it wasn't very memorable because I couldn't for the life of me tell you what the story was (I didn't click the link)

Dude, re-read it. I think it's easily one of the best Hulk stories of all time. It really plays up the idea that living with the Hulk inside of you would be like being a living, breathing bomb. I also love how they presented the idea that Banner would want to kill himself...partially for the greater good, but mainly because he's in a living hell...but can't because the trauma of dying instantly turns him into the Hulk.

You didn't read one of the greatest Hulk stories of all time?!!!!
It's the Future Imperfect miniseries by Peter David in the '90's:
Calling himself the Maestro, the Hulk rules over a world where most of the heroes have been killed, and only Rick Jones and a small band of rebels fight against The Maestro’s rule.
So the statue is an alternate future version of the Hulk.
