WTF was that!! This is the worst called game I have seen in a while.
I can't even finish this post without more BS calls going the Colts way. I think they have the best chance to beat the Pats, but my God let the game play out NFL.

Pass interference before the FG the Chargers missed.
Phantom hold on Weddel on Cromartie's pick 6.
I take back everything I said about Rivers.
He's not good. The Colts D is pathetic.

face-mask call on this drive was sorta lame, personal foul on OL negating 30 yard pass. Calls have gone in Indy's favor, but you sound crazy if you're screaming out conspiracies!

The only call they got hit with was the no td call and it got reversed.

If the fix was in, those calls never would have been made. The hold on the interception was legit.

I didn't see it but I take it from the reaction that Rivers was some kinda douche after the game.
This is the same team that cried last year about how the Patriots mocked them on their own field.
Well I have to pull for San Diego and if not one of the NFC teams because I can not deal w/ a 19-0 Patriots team.
Manning threw for almost 400 yards so how'd they lose this game ( especially if they got all these calls Spoon has been yelling about ) ?

Listen to ESPN radio, or Boomer on the postgame show. They're both saying the Chargers got some real bad calls against them, played with the 2nd team on O and still won this game.
And Rivers was yelling at the fans near him. Bad, but they were yelling at him the whole game. He needs to smile and let it go. It wasn't anything disrespectful to the team, in fact he went to just about every guy on the other team and was cool. However, he's like a 12 year old with fans and it's sad.
The funny thing is that Rivers got hurt and the Chargers scored the winning touchdown quite easily without him.
Jay Glazer is a tool.
Breaking News? "Mike McCarthy is on the verge of a new deal." --- No shit Jay, that's been in the news here all week.

Don't forget what a jackass he was a few weeks ago when they played Denver. He was talking smack to Jay Cutler after the Chargers sealed the win.
Phillip Rivers = Ryan Leaf with a better backfield.

I may have missed the boat if this broke a few days ago but I guess there's now been a new issue raised w/ the Patriots and their videotaping nonsense :
http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3226465
I'm listening to the radio and Mel Kiper's making a point that the gov't, based on Arlen Specter's statements, shouldn't get involved in this.
While I agree the gov't does have more important things to focus on I think maybe a little more should be made of this by somebody outside of the NFL.
Kiper also argues, and i agree to a point, that no real advantage was gained from taping a walkthrough.
My concern is not that they did anything wrong within the confines of the game ( although I guess they did violate some ethics ) but that they videtaped people w/out their permission. The average person shouldn't just be allowed to videotape everything somebody else is doing but it surely shouldn't be legal for what essential breaks down to one corporation videotaping another corporation's meetings.
I know that sounds wierd but to me it is a bigger deal.
Ritalin
02-02-2008, 12:18 PM
I wonder if he's the one who says this (from si.com):
New allegations have emerged about a Patriots employee taping the Rams' final walkthrough before Super Bowl XXXVI. According to a source, a member of the team's video department filmed the Rams' final walkthrough before that 2002 game. The next day, the Patriots upset St. Louis, 20-17, on a last-second field goal by Adam Vinatieri for their first championship. A walkthrough involves practicing plays at reduced speed without contact or pads. It is common for teams to film their own walkthroughs and practices. According to a source close to the team during the 2001 season, here's what happened. On Feb. 2, 2002, one day before the Patriots' Super Bowl game against heavily favored St. Louis in New Orleans, the Patriots visited the Superdome for their final walkthrough. After completing the walkthrough, they had their team picture taken and the Rams then took the field. According to the source, a member of the team's video staff stayed behind after attending the team's walkthrough and filmed St. Louis' walkthrough. At no point was he asked to identify himself or produce a press pass, the source said. The cameraman rode the media shuttle back to the hotel with news photographers when the Rams walkthrough was completed, the source said.

and your sig is too big
Didn't see it. But it was moved so problem solved.
I will try to see about fixing the sig. I did not create it...so i will have to go back to the shop and have Crippler work on it.

Alge Crumpler's time in Atlanta is now finished
The Cleveland Browns won't pick until the 3rd round after today's deal.
Their 1st rounder was traded for QB Brady Quinn last year.
Their 2nd rounder went to GB for DT Corey Williams in a trade today (http://www.sportsnetwork.com/default.asp?c=sportsnetwork&page=/nfl/news/ABN4134776.htm).
It will be interesting to see how this plays for the Browns.

Draft picks are worthless anyway. I mean, look at how well the Redskins have done the last few years, winning all those super bowls and they never have any early picks. Teams like the Patriots that stockpile draftpicks do terrible every year.
