Im here listening to the Micheal Moore interview, I was ready to hear o/a tear this guy apart. this has been one of the best interviews that I have ever heard. It was a great interview, has gone back and forth, with point counter point. Just a plain great interview. I agree with Ant, i wasnt a big fan of F 9/11, but some of his other films were good? Any other thoughts out there about this?
this is my first thread, so please be gental

After spending all day on Wednesday bashing the Opie and Anthony show, I listened to that segment and I have to agree, it was a fine interview.

I haven't heard this. Did it end on a positive note between the O&A and Moore?

yes it did, it ended on a very friendly note with the bboys and Moore. I was acutally very surprised about that. You should def listen to the replay just for this interview

Wow, Michael Moore was on O&A? That is surprising, he doesnt do a lot of press.

Saw Bowling for Columbine, Farenheight 9/11 and Roger and Me. Disagreed with a lot of his stuff, but I also clearly saw his point in the movies he did. Now that I heard him in an interview that wasn't a "gotcha" type like Hannity does or Rhoades does, he comes off as a decent man who just wants to interject an idea. I hope he stops in studio soon with Ronnie as well.

I think he's goin with the Noam Chompsky strategy, only go on shows with open dialogue where you're not restricted by breaks, and won't be ideologically steamrolled.

Jesus, the O&A boys keep fucking proving themselves, what does the public want? I'm a libertarian, and I've always thought Mike Moore was a pompous, smug ass, but did enjoy about half of Farenheit, but seriously after this interview, my entire perspective of the guy has changed, and now I have to get on the research train. Dammit, love you guys O&A

i can not wait to hear this interview. do you think that this can help them at all get some more celeb guests? for some reason, they really want to talk to the latest movie star. i always find it such BORING ass radio, but I guess it helps raise the profile of the show which i fully support.
If the media placed half the scrutiny on the Bush Administration as they do on Michael Moore the country would be a better place today.

I don't really understand your point about Chomsky. He's had debates with the other side before. What would you suggest, he go on FOXNEWS? Or Rush?

I finally heard the interview and it was very good! Moore came off great and O&A did an outstanding job.
I can't believe how much I disagree with every political view Anthony has. I think he's brilliant and hilarious, but I just don't agree with anything he says.

I wasn't surprised that it ended positively at all. Most of the people O&A talk to end up comming off better than they expected. They always managed to find some middle ground even if they agree to disagree

I wanted their interview to be good but it just wasnt. It was like any other big celeb O&A interview. Softballs and not "pushing" the celebs to think. They are too worried about the celebs not liking them, they want to start a relationship with everyone.
The end was good with the O&A and Moore connection with CNN.

Luved the interview as well ( for me, makes up for icing lick type frat shows ). It's too bad i enjoy O+A+N so much for their humour; i find their "serious" interviews so much more insightful than elsewhere - they would be incredible as an interview show alone
I'm also on opposite end of political spectrum from Ant, but i think his point/counterpoint gentle (speculum) probing made the segment particularly interesting...
It does help knowing ( a bit ) about the backgrounds of the interviwers; i might otherwise dismiss AC's view as some LI McMansioner

Let's not get carried away here. They arent even close to being the best interviewers on their channel.

If you mean that RB is also an enjoyable and informative interviewer for 202 listeners= agreed.
I just wanted/tried to say that O+A do bring ALOT to me that i don't get from the overload of interviews&articles that i often get from other sources.
I have alot of bias in "knowing" a bit about the interviewers, and being a syncophant phan, but i feel that O+A+N, and R+F, almost always provide something more, or at least different, than the usual suspects.

Fez is as good as opie or jimmy.
I was surprised Jimmy didnt ask Michael Moore what he does with his hands. They are sycophants just like you. And Opie talking over someone they interview is really great. They arent horrible but they arent even in the same league as R&F or Imus.

I would love to hear r/f interview Moore, Im not if he would b/c r/f havent really had the national media expsoure that the bbbbboys have had recently. (O/A) Appear to be such polar opposites from Moore is almost screams argument. I think that if they could keep ESD or stupid Earl from asking horrible questions it would be a great interview between r/f and Moore. Lets cross our fingers
