How do you disable anti-theft on a 2002 Honda civic?
Answer
You can put the system in valet mode by inserting the key into the ignition hole and out five times. in and out with out turning the key. This will put the system in valet mode and suspend it's normal operations.
true?
I'd check an owner's manual, but many of today's cars have some crazy sequences you have to go through to disable certain electronic features so it wouldn't surprise me.
A lot of modern vehicles have a warning system built in to start flashing and chiming every 3,000 miles to remind you to change your oil, and to reset it you have to turn your ignition on (but not start the car) and press the trip odometer reset 3 times, or something similar to that. Every manufacturer is different, so I'd definitely check with a mechanic or a manual.
