E3 is upon us and in about 18 hours Eastern Time Microsoft will kick off the first conference show
The big question is... What can we expect?
well this is what I know so far...

Microsoft:
Analysts have said that Microsoft will most likely be hitting us with news of a price drop. Some have said that there will be a full blown price drop, such as everything drops (the estimated price drop is that the 360 Elite will become $399.99 down from $499.99, Premium $349.99 down from $399.99 and Core $249.99 down from $299.99). Or some have said that they wont do a complete price drop, but possibly a price drop of certain ones, I.E. the Elite would drop to $399.99 or the Premium would go down 50 Dollars or the Core would go down 50 dollars, instead of the full price drop.

As far as games go, its going to be the expected games that catch our eyes... Halo 3, Halo Wars (In game finally), Bioshock, and things like Madden, NBA Live, Maybe All-Pro Football

Nintendo:
I hate to sound like i dont care about the Wii, or the DS.. but your guess is as good as mine as to what is going down in the nintendo side of things..

All i know is Ninja Gaiden is on the DS, Donkey Kong has a retarded ass new Wii game, Zelda for the DS, and Super Smash Brothers

Anyone else Know anything... let me know

Well remember how I said Xbox might price drop? It's because PS3 just cut its price
$499.99 for the 60 GB system as of yesterday
with a $599.99 80GB system coming in August, This one comes bundled with a free copy of Motorstorm and from what im hearing, both of the consoles get 5 free blu-ray disks when you buy them in the next couple months... They are a select few, and none of them i would really care to have... but w.e they are free!

Also they are finally going to show Killzone 2

Other then that the games most people already know about, Devil May Cry 4, MGS 4 has a new Trailer with new gameplay footage, Heavenly Sword and GTA 4 obviously, That new Naughty Dog game that I already lost interest in and forgot the name of (joking on the lost interest part), Ratchet, FFXIII/FFX VS XII, hopefully Kingdom Hearts 3, God of War on the PSP (hopefully PS3 version of GoW3) and Final Fantasy 2 on the PSP

Its all up in the air as of right this minute, but wait a couple more hours and prepare for the wildest 3 days in gaming, this year

Also... be sure to catch a look at Crysis... Again.... for like the 5th year in a row... and also Assassins Creed is suppose to be talked about a bit more indepth at this years E3... so I cant wait

No offense but how hard is it to add 3 hours to PST and get EST?

I am looking forward to some new Wii games like Hbox said that aren't gimmicky.

Here is a rundown of the opening press conferences from each of the big three:

Microsoft: Nothing much. No really big announcements. The biggest announcement was a Halo 3 themed Xbox 360, which is a green premium 360. They spent the whole thing hyping their holiday lineup, which is admittedly impressive. They probably didn't NEED to do anything but they could have really hammered down on PS3 with a price cut and they didn't. Of course there is still time between now and the holiday season. So there was nothing much new here as far as games go. There were new, impressive trailers for Halo 3 and Mass Effect. But again, nothing here we didn't already know.

Nintendo: Super Mario Galaxy will be released November 12th. Super Smash Brothers will be released December 3rd. They unveiled a "Wii Zapper" which is a gun shaped controller attachment for the Wii Remote and nunchuck which will be used and packed in with some shooter games such as Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles. They unveiled Mario Kart Wii which will be released first quarter 2008. And they announced WiiFit which has a custom controller called the Wii balance Board. It's a little board you stand on and exercise on through minigames.

Sony: A new slimmer, lighter PSP was announced. It looks exactly the same as the original. It has a video output so you can play PSP games and watch videos on your TV. it also has longer battery life. It will cost $169 and an entertainment pack with a 1GB memory stick, the game Daxter and the Family Guy Freakin Sweet collection will be $199. They showed a Killzone 2 trailer that looked almost exactly like the fake one from 2 years ago except this one was real. They swore it was. And to prove it they had a guy one stage playing through it. It looked amazing.

MGS4 at this point is still PS3 exclusive and they showed off a new trailer featuring a fight between Raiden and Vamp. They showed off this puzzle game called Echochrome that is fucking mindblowing. Picture a puzzle game based on MC Escher paintings. I can't even explain it. You'll need to find a video. They announced an exclusive agreement with NCSoft (maker of City of Heroes and Guild Wars) to develop online games. They announced that FPSs Haze and Unreal Tournament 3 are time-based exculsives. They also announced that you will be able to use PC mods on the PS3 Unreal Tournament.

Then they ran through their first party titles. All look pretty good. Heavenly Sword, Folklore, Uncharted and Ratchet and Clank Future. They announced a new game called inFamous where you play a character where you can develop your own superpowers and decide if you want to be a hero or a villain.
