He's playing it very close to the vest, which is the smart thing to do. Let teams chase him, and then see what he wants to do.

I don't think the Angels will, they are always a upper mid-payroll team (90ish) and that would put them into paying a salary tax if they want to do anything else besides A-Rod. Would tie their hands financially, that team doesn't have huge revenues. Cubs? They say they're tapped out after Soriano and are trying to re-sign Zambrano for big $$. Dodgers? That new owner cut costs the minute he showed up, and most people think he doesn't have as much money as he claims to, and needs to run the team at a profit. There have been rumblings Hicks might go after him again in Texas, he's already paying him 30 mil NOT to play for him. But A-Rod wouldn't go back there.

It only takes one team, but its a very small universe that can spend like that and A-Rod is a big city ego/talent at this point of his career. It would have to be NY/LA/Chi to make sense.
