I've was trolling the other XM channels as I often do when the boys are on vacation, and I came across this truly dreadful offering:

Drops of Jupiter and Umbrella are bad, but to me they're just your average terrible pop songs. This other piece of crap makes my skin crawl like nothing since Sexy Back.

By the way, I've never been a big Hip-Hop fan, but Im able to recognize most of what's good. I could probably get into Jay-Z, Pharrell and Eminem. But rap seems to be in a god awful state. It's almost like the scene is getting into it's very own "nu-metal/Hair Metal/Corporate Rock" phase.

I vote for "Drops of Jupiter" because of its pretension. My feeling is that the people behind "Umbrella" just meant for it to be an empty-headed pop song, whereas the douchebags in Train thinks "She checks out Mozart while she does Tai Bo" is a great, meaningful, genius line.
