I couldn't find a thread on this movie and I'm surprised because it's a good movie. It had sort of an odd Charlie Kaufman kind of feel to it which I liked. I wanted to see it when it first came out because I liked the premise a lot. I thought that it was a clever movie and a real departure from the usual Will Ferrell kind of silly movie. I'm sure if you went in with the idea of wanting to see a Talledega Nights kind of movie than you would be disappointed. I also liked it because I really got to see another side of Will Ferrell, a deeper range to the usual.

Dustin Hoffman is also in it, and he's great. I'm a huge fan of his, and I love Maggie Gyllenhael. If you haven't seen this, check it out.

I know this is a litte sappy but I love this scene...

It's worth watching, particularly because Maggie Gyllenhaal is in it. At times while watching it I felt like I really liked it and other times I hated it.

I thought it was good, not great. It didn't have the spark nor intelligence of a Kaufman script but was a decent below-Kaufman Kaufman-y movie. (A better Kaufmany movie: Science of Sleep.) Kaufman.

Anyway, I will say this. Will Ferrell impressed the hell out of me in this. And I never knew how funny Emma Thompson could be.

I really enjoyed this too - I thought it was interesting in a lot of ways...

Ferrell impressed the hell out of me too...

I as well wanted to see this movie when it came out and never went - then I had to use Netflix on it...

It is amazing how much this happens to me... I hate going to movies the first week because of all the talkers who ruin the movie... so if something dies quickly I miss it... I am pissed I didn't get to see Grindhouse yet.. same situation.

I actually ended up seeing this one in the theater and I liked a lot more than I thought I would. It wasn't amazing, but it was a fairly original idea, something that is rare these days. It wasn't amazing, but I'd give it a strong B.

I went to see it somewhat reluctantly and loved it. It's a really solid film.

Maggie Gyllenhael is adorable in the movie.
