You know, a live action chipmunks movie could work if you did it like Ratatoulie. Basically have Dave find three baby chipmunks that learn to sing. Make the movie a parody of the recording industry and how all the executives love them until they find out they are rodents.

I was talking about the chipmunks the other day to some friends and we got to the topic if they wondered how lucky the were. For every chipmunk there was a chippette who mirrored their personality and physiology exactly. You tell me the last time you saw an obnxious guy, a fat guy and a nerdy guy who's only 3 girl friends were obnoxious, fat and nerdy. Not to mention the same species.

Here's a question to the older board members. I was raised on the 80's version of the chipmunks. Did anyone feel like that show was raping their childhood memories of the original chipmunks?

Whatever. I watched the show as a kid and had a few of the albums, but they really are shrill and insufferable for anyone over the age of 8. They can do whatever they want to them.

And My Name is Earl is pretty fucking funny, but I lost any respect I had in Jason Lee years ago when I found out he was, and still is, a diehard Scientologist, so he's clearly semi-retarded at the very least. Dude peaked between skating in Sonic Youth videos and Chasing Amy. With the exception of Earl, he had been in a steady parade of absolute shit for almost a decade now, so this shouldn't be a surprise.
