View Full Version : Underage Drink Of Choice

When I was younger and not making any money my friend and I would convince one of his brothers friends to buy us beer, cheap beer. We had to get fucked up and the cheaper the better. He would always get us Hamms. It was under the Pabst Blue ribbon Label but cheaper. Either that or Lite Ice. What was your underage drink of choice?

"I ain't drank 40's since I was old enough to drink"
I got expelled from high school my sophomore year, halfway through my junior year, they let me spend half the day at the bad kid school, then let me drive to the regular high school, and finish the day (5 minute drive). Somehow I convinced them it took me an hour to get there. So I'd stop at a friend's house, slam two Old English 40's, and go to school
When I was 18 I was arrested 3 times for possession of alcohol by a minor. At the end of the year I saw a news report, that arrests for that crime jumped to the rate of an alarming 250 for the year in Connecticut. I was kind of proud that I had 3 of those 250.

Great site. We actually drank all of those bum wines except for Cisco (http://www.bumwine.com/cisco.html). Kinda feel like I missed out on something now.
Something in this syrupy hooch seems to have a synapse-blasting effect not unlike low-grade cocaine. The label insists that the ingredients are merely "citrus wine & grape wine with artificial flavor & artificial color," but anyone who has tried it knows better. Tales of Cisco-induced semi-psychotic fits are common. Often, people on a Cisco binge end up curled into a fetal ball, shuddering and muttering paranoid rants. Nudity and violence may well be involved too.

Carlo Rossi, burgundy. They came in torso-sized bottles for only about 13 bucks each and being the crazy lightweight that I am, I could get drunk off that sucker for a whole month before needing to buy another.

Yes, the drink of choice in 8th grade was definitely peppermint schnapps. The worst beer I ever had was in Michigan about this time, was called Wiedeman's. It was much worse than Falstaff. I would be surprised if anyone on this site has heard of it. I also drank boone's farm, cold duck, and sloe's gin. I didn't drink MD 20/20 'til college and I noticed it had the effect of making people take swings at each other.

Whatever liquor we could get our hands on... then one day we fell upon a 7 dollar bottle of Kamikaze Cocktail (stuff is only 42pf). Anyway, we mixed the stuff with some Snapple Fire, which at the time had just hit the scene. Made for a damn good drink.
Funny part about it was that a few years later while at a random party, some kid who I didn't know was drinking the stuff. Sort of became a local hit.
It only seemed to work with the cheap pre-made Kamikaze in the bottle, which I have found can be difficult to get. To this day if I can get it, I'll make them.. brings back some great memories.. mainly "tailgating" in front of the ECW arena with it and getting the chance to drink the mix with Bam Bam Bigelow.

The chef in the local chinese take-out in my town would gladly sell you a six of bud for $6 in 1990. He had cases stacked up like firewood in the walk-in fridge and a line of 15 year olds to the kitchen entrance.

Hamms was brewed in Baltimore--I passed by the brewery today. They're turning it and the Natty Boh brewery into offices and maybe some apartments or condos. They still make boh, but it's owned by Pabst. Most of the cheap beers are owned by pabst now--Schaffer, Schlitz, Ballantine, Blatz, Lone Star, Olympia, etc...
We drank Icehouse and Red Dog and occasionally Mickeys.
