I don't know how to make them but it would be great to have it. It'll just show the latest posts.

Wackbag and FBA have one:

Hey, why not. My first try at this. I may tweak it before submitting to Google.

Go to your iGoogle http://www.google.com/ig

Click Add Stuff

Click Add url

Copy and paste this link into the box: http://www.ronfez.net/ronfezgadget.xml

Click ok and it'll be on your iGoogle page.

It's not quite working for me. Looks a little odd. Did I do something wrong?

Was that the default you got? Weird. Although somethings things look a lil different on my work computer than they do from some others for some unknown reason.

I can adjust the text sizes. I thought I set it to default at 6, did it show you that many headlines by default? Did you set anything in that widget's preferences?

I changed the headlines to 10 to see if it changed anything. Looks the same no matter how many headlines you choose. This was on IE6. I'll give firefox a try and see if that makes any difference.

Edit: Here's how it looks like in Firefox with the defaults restored.

I had tested it in Firefox, just checked it in IE and I see a line instead of text. I'll play with it and see if I can fix it. Must be a CSS issue.

Meh, everything works fine in Firefox now, but IE isn't entirely cooperative. Stupid browser incompatibilities.

6. I'm on a Win2k machine. There is no 7.

I bet it works much better on 7, i know from my dev. experience that the CSS engine in 7 is much closer to firefox.

i do not have igoogle, or else i would test it. does anyone have both ie7 and firefox to compare the 2?

Doesn't matter. You have to be able to support Firefox, IE6 and IE7 to cover over 90% of your users.

true good point. I always forget the difference between enterprise and real world. I like when I can just tell people they have to upgrade, and then everyone is on the same platform.

It's looking better. I can read the thread titles now in IE6.

Eh, I was trying some stuff out with it. I can just do a straight RSS feed for iGoogle instead.

I dunno if it was justjon or someone else but there's a newer version of the RonFez.Net gadget on IGoogle now. Nice job, it blends in nicely with the rest of the content.
