The 42nd Copa America (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Copa_Am%C3%A9rica_2007) started last week. I didn't get to start following until Saturday. Is anyone else watching?
Starting soon is USA vs Paraguay, and then at 8:45 is Argentina vs. Columbia.

I'd be watching if I wasn't at work. At first I was pissed that the US was sending such an inexperienced squad, but I always like rooting for the underdog so it should be fun.
I just want to see Mexico get their ass kicked (even though that doesn't look too realistic).

I've been watching. USA lost 3-1 tonight. They're still in it as long as Colombia loses and scores no more than 2 goals.
All the games are on GolTV. You can also watch them streamed with Spanish audio at www.univision.com/content/content.jhtml?cid=1215239
You could always download the TVU Player (http://www.tvunetworks.com/) which has many free TV stations, including GolTV.
I've been using it. The quality is very good.

Colombia vs. USA tonight at 6:30 est. Watch it live at www.univision.com/contentroot/uol/30deportes/content/jhtml/copa_america/NOMETA_partidosEnVivo.jhtml
This will most likely be USA's last game of the tournament, unless they somehow score 5 or more goals.

very glad i missed this tourney after i saw the results. why was this so close to the concacaf gold cup? that was only like two weeks ago. then south americans are pissed we sent a b team? screw them. we're in the middle of our league's season right now and the players have obligations to their clubs. shit, imagine if the baseball world cup took place in the middle of the season (while the season was still going on) and then their was ANOTHER tourney two weeks later, and all your star players wanted to go to that as well. fuck that noise.

I think Copa America is a much more prestigious tournament than the Gold Cup.
CONMEBOL probably won't be inviting the US back again.

OK, I've taken some shit in this thread, but now we are down to the nitty gritty.
Tomorrow night, Brazil v Uruguay. Not the stomp over you would think. Brazil is the favorite, but Uruguay has shown some heart (and juevos) during this tournament. This could be a good match.
Then on Wednesday, the Dream Match. Mexico v Argentina. Both teams came off of huge wins on Sunday. (6-0 and 4-0 respectively) This could be the match of the tourney. Tune into Telemundo at 6:30 pm to see a match made in heaven. Keep an eye on Riquelme and Crespo to see how the game is played.
Here's a link to the official site (http://www.copaamerica.com/default.asp?pag=home) for the latest news.

well, euro 2008 is bigger too, but we'd probably care less about that than a tourney from our actual region, right or wrong. but, maybe not.

I personally would care more about Euro 2008 because there are more players that I am personally familiar with since I generally only follow the Premier League.
Copa America is definitely the more prestigious tournament, but I completely understand why the U.S. went with the stronger team in the Gold Cup. They can win the Gold Cup, the matches were in the U.S. and the only opponent they really had to worry about was Mexico. In the Copa, they had to play much stronger teams in much more difficult environments. At some point, one would hope that the U.S. will truly be able to compete in that tournament, but right now, with the new coach and coming off the awful WC performance, winning was more important.

I'm gonna have to just watch the 2nd half. The semifinals start tonight in the U-20 World Cup with USA facing Uruguay at 7:45.
Mexico vs. Argentina will no doubt be the game of the night, but I gotta watch the US.
Game is on ESPNU for anyone interested.

Fuck Telemundo, I watch the games in English on Gol TV.
I saw 2 great games tonight. That USA game was really good. US edged it out 2-1 in extra time.
The Copa Final should be really good. I can't wait until Sunday.
