Halftime 2007

Since obviously my first allegiance is to the show, and my Liege #1 and Liege #2, I won't reveal much. It might be worth mentioning 20 titles of note at the halfway point in 2007, that may spur some fodder for the future.

Of course it would be ridiculous and stupid to predict the Oscars at this juncture, but here are 20 titles imminently worthy of discussion for the first half of 2007.

30 seconds ago, I was just thinkin, Wonder what thepaulo thinks of Hot Fuzz. I'm kinda weirded out right now. Is Melly rubbing off on you Paul?

I loved Hot Fuzz. Not at all what I expected it to be. It was very funny and the acting was superb.

I saw Ratatouille tonight. It was terrific. Pixar's second best movie overall after Toy Story 2. What a treat.

Loved Hot Fuzz. Very funny and clever. I also liked Knocked Up but I felt that it followed that same crappy formula for all hollywood comedies lately where, 1. the guy has to be a moron, and 2. there has to be a lull in the jokes about 3/4 of the way through to send "the message" and to get your date crying until one or two more laughs near the end.
