When FreeFM turned into K-Rock the boys were given a couple of token "rock" call ins. Now its been a few weeks and not one "rock" guest has entered the studio. What exactly is the benefit of being on a "rock "station if you can't even have "rock" artists in studio. K-rock also said that they would have a big presence at rock concerts all summer. Where are the ticket giveaways or the K-Rock Summer concert like the old days. I know O&A have the Virus Tour but shouldn't the station be setting up a big music show. I mean they are the "rock" station we've all been looking for , right?

I wasn't looking for a rock station. That is what Lucy, Fred and Ethel are for on my XM.

I never listen to K-rock but if its a rock station that so many people missed shouldn't it be making an effort to do rock station type promotions. It seems like usual they have half assed this format flip. Start having concerts and giving O&A rock tickets and guests that fit the format. They are the corner stone of the rock station for the city they should be running all of the stations promotion through them. I don't blame O&A.The promotons department should do more than change the call letters and play AC/DC.

i agree. if they are going to do something, do it all the way. but this has been the story for a while now. Stern's musical guests were friends of his and not on the show because promotions had them in. Bon Jovi, South Side Johnny and a few others, were people he knew or friends of friends. why should the station do anything different now?

The State of Radio today w/Wedel and Stugots. Only problem is that we would have Matty Fridays calling in every 2 mins to tell us that he knows more about radio than we ever will. He worked for the sports guys.
