dirty martini with tanqueray...

martini with tanqueray would taste fantastic right about now, but you can hold off on that digusting, vile olive juice. i guess ill just have to settle for a nice bourbon on the rocks tonight. mmmm....bourbon....

Winston Churchill, bolstered by gin martinis, outlasted the Luftwaffe. (http://www.moderndrunkardmagazine.com/issues/07_03/07-03-faded-glory.htm)

the NYC one is a great bar. i like it. the bartenders do buy backs and are cool as hell but give me a pint of ass juice in an ice cold glass anyday. they can keep that bacon tini.

Martinis have not gone away.
I, for one, favor a vodka martini made with the Gray Goose.
I do not make mine like the author of the article.

I generally do not like drinks with fruit juice or lots of ingredients.
I likes a good scotch over a few large ice cubes.
I likes me the cognac and Armagnac, straight up.

I've been on a vodka martini jag for the last 4 or 5 years.

And two olives, please.
Either one at the beginning and the other as I finish the drink, or for giving to a woman.
Three olives is a side dish.

Actually, it's bad and may give you the shits if you drink a lot of it.

I fucking LOVE a good gin martini with just an eyedropper of vermouth and a couple of giant olives. Fucking golden.

The Martini died when the word "appletini" was coined.

Make mine an "In and Out Martini".

And Yet, Midkiff, There Are Still Some People Who Do Not Realize What A Cultured Man You Are!! Fools!

There Was An Episode Of MASH Where They Debated How Much Vermouth You Put In To Make The Perfect Dry Martini. F_S Doesn't Have The Name Right, But The Winning Formula Was Something Like This:

The Perfect Dry Martini Is A Glass Full Of Only Gin, Which You Drink While Looking At A Picture Of Aldo Rossi, The Inventor Of Vermouth.

Now, That's A Dry Martini!

Martinis are like breasts: one's not enough and three's too many.

Compared to Tanqueray 10, anything else is rotgut, although I admit it's somewhat of a sin to make a martini with 10 since it's got some wonderfully subtle flavors and aromas. (Mmmmm....piney....)

Although I might try a bacon martini, when I want a drink, nothing beats icy gin in a classic glass. With olives; a twist is for pussies and putting anything else into the bottom makes it a different drink.

And make mine shaken, not stirred. Stirred martinis are for people who actually like vermouth.

If we go someplace and they don't know how to make a martini, I am usually devastated.

And sober.

I named my kitten Dino Martini, because I miss them so much.

My friend took his litter-mate and named him Frank Sinatra.
We are starting "The Cat Pack"

i think the not-for-anything-else martini glass is a big problem.

the name-a-fruit-tini has also turned it from respectable into a bachelorette party drunkette drink.

What about the chocolate martini? Yeecchh!

I prefer a vodka martini with Russian Standard (when I can find it), bone-dry with a couple of olives.

I fucking hate Chardonnay.

You know this, yet you brought it anyway, so you deserved the toss.

Now bring me my Tanqueray!
