Sorry about that. Milwaukee is only 14 games over .500 right now....with a 7.5 game lead over the sub .500 Cubs.
Good luck this weekend without Zambrano throwing.
(I gotta be a dick about this!) :bye:

Still a lot of baseball left.
And in case you hadn't noticed, the rest of the pitching staff is doing just fine.

Hey, I'm with you. If you're a Brewers fan you've got to be loving this season, and you've got to bring it with all your might. It's going to be a great series, and if the Cubs have righted the ship - which I think they have, and I think they have a trade or two up their sleeves - then this is going to be a great race.
LET'S....GET...SOME RUNS!

Cubs need to at least win this series. They face the Brewers in another 3-game series at Wrigley later, but they need this one now if they expect to catch up in the division. I'm not gonna lie...I'm confident based on how they've been playing, but I'm nervous as hell. The Brewers are a really good and really young team that's almost totally homegrown. They're gonna be contenders for a while.

And FYI, Mike North is a dirty traitor of a fan who jumped onto the Black Sox bandwagon many, many years ago.

Mojo, are you serious? Mike North jumped ship?
Ah, fuck him. I never really liked his show anyway.
A great win today.
Where did you hear this Griffey trade talk? I read both papers, and I haven't seen anything about it. For who?

He doesn't out and out hate the Cubs, but he definitely talks up the Sox more and brings up how he's more a fan of theirs now, especially since his station is the official Sox station.
The Griffey talk was hot for a little while, supposedly for Sean Marshall, Matt Murton and another prospect, but I don't think the Cubs can take on big money with the sale.

Best record in all of baseball over the last month.
That said, I'm still freakin' nervous. They're one major pitching or offensive injury away from likely not having the stuff for the long haul. There's a couple hot rookies they need to bring up from the minors and an impact trade or two is all but a necessity.
Lot of analysts are saying there's a shot the Brewers and Cubs could likely split the WC and the division.

Of course you're nervous. I'm nervous. We're all nervous. It's the Cubs, for crying out loud. And now I'm reading that because of the ownership situation that we may not make any major trades before the deadline. I hear Ken Griffey's name floated around, but I think that's a pipe dream. I don't think the Reds would trade him to a division rival. But still.
Gagne? Buerle? (Fat chance, right?)
Fucking MLB snipped off it's nose, too, because I totally would be getting the package if it were on cable. I'll be damned if I'm going to get a dish just so I can watch a baseball game. Actually, I can't put a dish on my building, anyway.
So, let's take 2 of 3 from the Bucs, and keep the fire burning through the All Star break. I'm glad Big Z isn't pitching.
