hey, this is my first post. I've been listening to Ron and Fez since they joined 202, I love them, and I also enjoy the posters of RonFez.net and their file library, which I have used and abused many times over. It is your reaction to the reaction of the board which has finally confused me to the point that I've decided to not only register but post on the board.

What I'm confused about is why you even bothered having a negative post about O & A. They're friends with R&F, they support the show wholeheartedly, and I'm guessing more people than not who post on the board listen and enjoy their show -- although I say this with the credibility of a newbie (sorry). You had to know making a post about how bad their show is would draw the ire of RonFez.net.

also, no one posting against you is a dick, or making people not want to join the site -- I suppose I'm the case in point. It's you that is the dick my friend, and these people are merely reacting to someone attempting to pull down the positivity of this board, which, if you've listened to the show recently, has come into question. You're also a dick for stating your opinion, than calling anyone who disagrees with you an asshole.

Might be just me, but ever since O&A were off XM for that month and the Buddays got a ton of play, I've totally turned off Opie and Anthony. It's just hours upon hours of negative meanness. I found that I started believing their entitled, selfish, immature attitudes. Shit, I'm immature too, but to actually believe the crap that Patrice spouts out about how to "handle" your woman is just plain stupid.

I look at it this way....I hated the cunts in high school that were selfish, "me, me, me", and mean to people they perceive as dumb or below them....why in the fuck would I waste my time listening to those people now, as an adult? So I shut them off, for good. That's what I can do....that and vent on a message board.

It's too bad that Ron and Fez are friends with these douche bags.....Opie and Anthony did not "make" Ron and Fez...I know a lot of new O&A fans see the buddays as the "farm club" but they're not. Ron Bennington and Fez Whatley are professional comedians that have a flow all of their own, one that caters to more intelligent, less angry people.

I'm just the opposite, I couln't stand them because it was just too over the top and I could only listen for a little while a couple times a month. I was only R&F for well over a year.

But in the last 5 months I can actually say I'm a fan, and listen daily. You take what you like (anthony, norton, commedians) and ignore the parts you don't(opie, opie laughing at his own hack jokes, making fun of retards, homeless). Totally different show, perfect contrast.

I live for it when "their comedians" go for each others throats. Nothing better. That's how me and my friends have always been, it's part of being male.

I would happily call the o/a show and tell them that Im a paramedic, and im sure that I would get some ball busting, and would expect some comment like that from Jimmy N. because that is the nature of his comedy and his personality,and then i think he would tie it into a plug of his book, but im sure they would somehow acknowledge the fact that I help all kinds of people, OD, people with HIV, hep ABC, TB ect... Good and bad, i have been shot at, stabbed, fought for my life, delievered babies and countless other situations, and think that I can make some what of a positive impact in this world. After they first went to CBS, I stayed with them like a lot of other brainwashed longtime fans. I really didn't think the show was going to change much. I was wrong. I slowly began to loose intrest in the show, until I just stopped listening.
Another thing I did, like you, is I didn't feel the need to post about my not listening on a messageboard.(how fucking egotistical is that anyway????:blink:)

After the whole Imus thing, I was really interested to hear the boys take on it, so I tuned back in after a few months of not listening. Lo and behold, I fell back into the show, and I'm back to having 6+ hours of radio a day.

I was really cold on O & A for a while, but have started listening to them more and more. I was getting tired of the Norton gimmick and how it would take over the show, but I think the show is balancing itself out nicely now. There are still some things I don't like about it, but it's not a big deal. I just listen to what I like and ignore what I don't like.

Overall, I think they put on a quality show that's worth listening to.

Also, I have to completely disagree wtih you about Patrice. His talk about the psychology of relationships is absolutely amazing.

I was born in Saskatoon, and no, it's not nice there. -40 in the winter +40 in the summer. The people out there are a kind as they come, but the climate is absolutely brutal. Not a hill or tree for hundreds of kilometers....flat plain.
