have posted on here in the past that I have had some intestinal problems, hemmoroids, "looseness" if you know what I mean.
Well, an older man I work with was the one who recommended I have that colonoscopy and he has been telling me about this product that he has been using for years. It is called Konsyl, and what it is is a bulk forming laxative, made of psyllium. Now, I was extremely skeptical of using a laxative to fix a loose stool issue, so I shied away from it. Finally, he brought in an empty container for me to look at. It was sitting on my desk when
a woman that I work with was walking by and saw it, and she went into a long discussion with me that she too has been using it for years and it "cured" her of a very similar problem to mine. I was stunned, and looked more into it.
I have nothing to gain by telling you this, but I figured I would post this in case someone else is having a similar problem and might be helped by it.
My mother has the opposite problem, where she doesn't "go" for days on end and gets very painfully constipated. I got her on it too, as well as my dad, and they seem very happy with it. It seems this product (ground psyllium husks)will help both types of problems. It also has other benefits, and is a natural form of fiber.
I am taking one teaspoon a half hour before dinner. It kind of expands and gels up inside you, seemingly giving you the feeling of being full. This makes me less likely to over eat.
The woman takes like 2 tablespoons twice a day.
There are other brands, like metamucul or benefil too, as well as capsule forms.

It has really helped me, and thought I would share.
The one I have is a powder that you mix with water or tea or whatever and it is kind of hard to get down because it tastes a little like oat meal, but if you mix it with iced tea or juice it isn't too bad. It's good for ya!
