Last week I bought a cell phone with a slide out keyboard for IMing. Price was 100 bucks, which is decent for a new phone, since any time you want to buy a new one at a store, they're only cheap if you sign up for a new contract. Phone arrived very fast, but 5 of the buttons on the keyboard didn't work, and he says to use the manufacturer's warranty (which is in spanish) The phone was made in Mexico (by LG). Fuckin prick

Report him to ebay for not describing the item correctly, but make sure you have read all of the sellers fine print.

One time I bought something from some punk in Malaysia or something. He never sent it, so months later, I finally left negative feedback. Then he imediately left me negative also, saying I would never return his emails, etc etc. It's the only negative feedback I ever got.

I tried to ebay a little when it first broke out of the box. Some sports tickets or what not but ebay kept getting hacked, changing my screen names and acct info that I just found it too much bother. never went back never missed it

I opened up the phone to see if I could maybe replace the keyboard, since my old phone was an older model, turns out the whole phone is basically one circuit board. But there was a sticker on the keyboard inside that read something in Spanish, I can't quite translate it, but I think the gist of it is "fucked up" here's a picture, seller's name is "OEM Kings" btw.

Not sure if it will look legitimate now, I already left positive feedback because I'm an idiot.

It says "no funciona teclado" and I can't read the last word. "No funciona teclado" means the "keyboard does not work."

cheeky bastich is shippin out openly faulty goods
always use paypal. i used a cheque once for a reputable 'shop' in germany. avoid bank transfer.
i stick to ebay shops now rather than individuals-and 'buy it now' on big stuff. always check for 'BOXED AS NEW' i wouldnt go for a 'refurbished'
check previous items sold by vendor (check item id that it's the type of good hes offering you, some cunts will sell some ceramics to a few mates then fire on 200 fake ipods)
dont leave feedback- ever. i dropped a memory stick and got it replaced cause i hadnt left feedback yet. i emailed him and he sent out another to keep his feedback clean
This is precisely why I only buy "new, never opened" products from eBay stores with a positive rating over 98%. I'm far too lazy to ship things back and lodge complaints.
Good luck, though.

This is fucking long, but weird enough that it might be worth the read. I've highlighted some bits in caps if you want to know what direction this is going in:
I once sold several rare PET SHOP BOYS CD singles to a guy in Virginia. He paid up quick so I left a positive feedback. Since his eBay name was Aberswythbells or some damn thing, my feed back was: "THIS BOY BURST INTO MY PET SHOP WYTH BELLS ON!" A day later I received an essay complaining that he was offended because the feedback suggested he was gay, which he claimed not to be. I wrote back something to the effect that the Pet Shop Boys have always been de facto poster boyz for homosexuals everywhere and that though one did not have to be GAY to like them, fans certainly had to be on board in supporting their pro-HOMO agenda. I further explained that no one really JUDGES anyone personally based on their EBAY feedback (otherwise high rollers would be opening doors for me and constantly reminding me that I am A+++++++++!!!! So far, my life has not gone that way) I further further suggested that a PSB fan ought not be embrassed to be accidentally accused of being gay anyways. automatically make you gay]. So, the day after that, I get an email from an alleged third party who has mysteriously decided to mirror my email address. The email claims to be from an insulted individual who just happened to read Aberswyth's feedback and goes on about how INSENSITIVE I was to leave such a feedback. This individual continued by splainin' that he was ABUSED as a child and wrote: "how would you like it if someone just came over there and RAPED you? Is that what you want? Maybe you should be VIOLENTLY raped and then you would know what this kind of feedback feels like." Either I was in for the time of my life or parts of me were going to turn up in a ditch (or both). I chose to write nothing back. Luckily, I have not yet been raped nor have I been compelled to rape. The especially creepy thing that later research turned up is that Aberswythbells, or whatever, was the name of some local MONESTARY and that dude was somehow associated with the monestary. I keep expecting to hear of some MURDERER sweeping through the New England countryside, leaving the word "OPPORTUNITIES" carved into the stomachs of young boys. So, PSB: they're not just for flamboyant homos anymore. They're also for closeted MONK SERIAL KILLERS. The end.

Oh, come on, it's barely been used. It's only been sitting in the yard for ten years. Hardly any dog pee at all on it.

My exp in the past was rough. About 5yrs ago I got jacked for 384$ for a barebones PC. But that was before Paypal, and Ebay both offer some sort of protection on purchases. I have had weird ass requests. When I bought 360's an sold them I had some deals come down to peoples' paranoia of Paypal and Big Brother compel them to actually mail me cash before I would ship. They were lucky keep me word.
I would say 90% of my Ebay use has been good, and now with the semi-insurance / guarantee its much better. I did track the guy down who ripped me on the PC deal. People are easy to find, ask him if he has a web address (or have someone else) saying you want to see other products or work outside of Ebay (maybe talk quantity) then once he gives you his web address, go HERE (http://www.networksolutions.com/whois/index.jsp;jsessionid=3b0e25c1c474d9405d4d6023b01d8 :KCNW).
Then you have a way to contact someone without email, and its a shocker for most that you found them.

Years ago I had an account and would usually sell off some my used DVD and usually bought books and other DVDs. Some asshole hacked into my account and changed all my stuff. Then he sold a Flat Screen TV. Some moron actually bought it and then complained about sending money to some place in Europe. I complained to Ebay who did nothing but said you have to lodge a complaint in your own account. i would have if my password wasn't changed on me. I just gave up on all of ebay after that never went back. The same person hacked into my paypal account also but at least American Express saw through my history. I never made purchases like this before and refunded my most of my money.

You could go post about it on the ebay answer board in the ebay community pages. People there will go look at the listing and give you advice on what to do. They are usually pretty helpful.

I really am a dumb, dumb fuck. This guy at work gave me a computer that was only a couple of years old, but the motherboard was fried. I bought a motherboard on ebay, came last week, went to put it in today, and one of the chips on the board is broken off. He shipped the motherboard wrapped in paper, not in an antistatic bag, and just thrown in a box. Now both of these sellers, I look at their feedback and they're basically scam artists, I don't know what I was thinking when I was bidding. Luckily the mobo was only 35 bucks, the phone on the other hand was 115.
I wanted a new phone, because the charging port on my old one broke. At least this shit phone from ebay is the same model, and I can use it to charge the batteries in. $115 cell phone battery charger, woo hoo.

Phone was advertised "New, Never Opened" , unlocked for cingular. 97.2 feedback rating. I'm guessing a lot of these people turn the phone on and think all is well, but there's probably a small defect in every one, and they don't notice until after they leave feedback.
