The other day Dave and Ron were talking about which of HBO's series they have watched and it got me thinking. Sex and the city, Sopranos, Six Feet Under, Carnival, Deadwood, Rome, Entourage and Big Love: that's a total of 312 hours...13 days of my life!!!!

Is this crazy? Has this cable television channel taught me any whorthwhile lessons on life? Why the hell do I keep watching these things!

As we speak I am starting into John from Cincinnati...

Is there some way to break this cycle? I know there are people out there who manage to avoid this HBO trap. Help!

Well, they tried to help you out by cutting off the ending of one of their shows the other night; i forget which one...hmmmm.

also, dont forget about Curb Your Enthusiasm. They were smart to mention immediately after the Sopranos debacle that Curb was coming back for another season very soon. Otherwise, I wouldve canceled.

I thought the thread title said HBox owes me 13 days of my life.

Now I'm not interested.

Can you really say that during those 13 days, those 312 hours you weren't ever entertained?
During the whole run of Soprano's, Six Feet, Sex, Deadwood, etc.., you were never entertained for one single hourlong episode?

That's what you pay your 10 bucks a month for...Entertainment....
You're not paying to learn worthwhile lessons on life...

PS... I think that some of these shows DID teach me some important lessons on life...to be perfectly honest....
