does anybody know what i can use to open .IFO .VOB .BUP files onto a mac? im helpless, thanks

I think VLC will open all those. I use it to open files that wont work on quicktime.

those are DVD files, and they should be in a folder named video_ts. If not, make a folder called video_ts, put all the files in it, and then drag the folder onto VLC Media Player (http://www.videolan.org). you may be able to use your existing DVD playback software if it has a "play dvd from hard disk" option.
The ifo files are like an instruction file for the dvd (menus, subtitles, etc.), the .bup is a backup of the .ifo file, and the .vob is the actual MPEG-2 video file. If for some reason, you can't get the dvd working properly, a media player should be able to handle the VOB files.
oh, and you can always burn these. just select the DVD video option in your burning software, and put all the files in the VIDEO_TS folder.
